Over 120 Students Felicitated by Porvorim Rising on International Yoga Day


On 22nd June 2025, over 120 meritorious students from Porvorim were felicitated by Porvorim Rising during a special ceremony held at the Socorro Panchayat Hall. The event, which coincided with International Yoga Day, saw Shri Rohan Ashok Khaunte, Hon'ble Minister for Tourism & MLA of Porvorim, grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Students from Socorro, Salvador do Mundo, and Penha de Franca Panchayats who scored above 75% in the Goa Board Class 10 and 12 examinations were honored with certificates, mementoes, and words of encouragement.

On 21st May 2025, Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera inaugurated a Sewage Water Treatment Plant (STP) at Narayan Zantye College of Commerce, Bicholim, under District CSR Grant CS2200062. The STP aims to convert sewage into potable, reusable water, supporting sustainability and water conservation in the community. The project, costing ₹13,00,625/-, is a significant step toward creating a greener environment.
