Actor Saif Ali Khan had the audience laughing as he spoke about attending parent-teacher association (PTA) meetings for decades during an appearance with his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, on The Great Indian Kapil Show. Reflecting on his journey as a father of four, Saif joked that although the teachers had changed over the years, he was still returning to the same school.
The couple discussed family life, marriage and their everyday routines during the light-hearted conversation, which also featured host Kapil Sharma and co-host Archana Puran Singh.
Saif’s PTA Meetings Span Decades
When asked which of them usually attended PTA meetings, Saif explained that he had four children of different ages studying at the school.
โFirst of all, I have four children in that school, at different ages. When I was 20 years old, I had my first PTA meeting. Then I was 30 years old. I am still standing in the same school at 55. And now… the teachers there have changed. I am still the same,โ he said.
Kapil responded with a joke about Saif having a child every decade, prompting Kareena to tease her husband about whether there were any future baby plans.
โSaifu, you have a child every decade. Whatโs the plan now?โ Kareena asked.
Before Saif could respond, Archana remarked that they were about to enter another decade. Kareena quickly clarified, โYes, we are, but not with me.โ Saif laughed as the hosts and audience joined in, turning the exchange into one of the conversation’s most amusing moments.
Ghee, Romance and a Bedroom That Smells Like a Dhaba
The conversation also turned to the couple’s youthful appearance after 14 years of marriage. Asked about their secret, Saif credited ghee, while Kareena said it was a staple in their household.
Saif then revealed that Kareena did more than consume ghee: she also applied it to her feet at night.
โShe doesnโt only eat it but even rubs it on her feet at night,โ he joked. Kareena responded that the practice helped her.
Saif continued the banter by imagining a romantic moment interrupted by the smell. โJust imagine, such a romantic moment, and our bedroom smells like a dhaba at night,โ he said.
Kapil extended the joke by teasing Archana about the possibility of applying ghee to her feet and then using it on chapatis. The exchange added another dose of playful humour to the couple’s appearance.
A Marriage of 14 Years and a Family of Four Children
Saif and Kareena’s professional association began years before their relationship turned romantic. They appeared together in films such as LOC: Kargil (2003) and Omkara (2006), and later worked together in Tashan (2008), during which their relationship developed.
They married in a private ceremony at Saif’s Bandra residence in Mumbai on October 16, 2012. The couple have two sons, Taimur Ali Khan, born in December 2016, and Jehangir Ali Khan, popularly known as Jeh, born in February 2021.
Saif also has two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, from his previous marriage to actor Amrita Singh. Sara made her acting debut in 2018 and has since appeared in several Hindi films. Ibrahim made his acting debut with projects including Nadaaniyan and Sarzameen in 2025.
What’s Next for Saif and Kareena?
On the professional front, Kareena was recently seen in Meghna Gulzar’s crime thriller Daayra, which also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Saif recently appeared in Priyadarshan’s psychological thriller Haiwaan, alongside Akshay Kumar, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Boman Irani and Saiyami Kher. The film brought Saif and Akshay together again after 17 years and was an official remake of Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam film Oppam, starring Mohanlal.
Saif’s upcoming projects include the Netflix film Hum Hindustani, featuring Pratik Gandhi and Deepak Dobriyal in key roles.
From decades of PTA meetings to jokes about ghee and family planning, Saif and Kareena’s appearance offered viewers a playful glimpse into their family life, with Kareena’s response making one point unmistakably clear: another baby is not part of her plans.
