Salman Khan is gearing up for another action-packed big-screen outing with Monster, his upcoming action entertainer directed by Vamshi Paidipally. According to reports, the film is preparing to enter an intensive 50-day shooting schedule, with the superstar set to perform physically demanding hand-to-hand combat sequences.
The makers are reportedly preparing a dedicated studio setup in Mira Road, Mumbai, where the upcoming schedule will focus primarily on close-range fights. The production team is said to be aiming for a more grounded and realistic action style, with greater emphasis on physical combat rather than relying heavily on visual effects and stylised sequences.
Intense Action Schedule Planned in Mumbai
Monster went on floors in Mumbai in April 2026 and has since been filmed across several elaborate sets. In August, the team reportedly completed an extensive six-week schedule in Goregaon, featuring major action sequences, large crowd scenes and a specially constructed Afghan village set.
Preparations for the next phase have also included a dedicated 10-day combat training session in Mumbai in September. The training was reportedly designed to help Salman execute the demanding fight sequences with greater precision and authenticity.
The upcoming 50-day schedule is expected to be one of the film’s key production phases, with the action scenes forming a major part of the larger cinematic experience.
Salman Khan Balances Film and Television Commitments
Alongside his film commitments, Salman is also managing responsibilities associated with his television reality show. Despite his busy schedule, the makers are reportedly aiming to complete the principal photography of Monster by November 2026.
Following the completion of filming, the project is expected to move into post-production as the team works towards its planned theatrical release during Eid 2027.
Star-Studded Cast for Pan-India Action Entertainer
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Arvind Swamy, Rahul Dev, Ronit Roy and Seema Biswas.
With Vamshi Paidipally at the helm and Salman Khan leading the cast, Monster is being positioned as a pan-India action entertainer. Its reported emphasis on physically intense combat sequences has added to the anticipation surrounding the film.
If the production schedule proceeds as planned, audiences can expect the film to arrive in theatres during Eid 2027.
