Bollywood actor Yami Gautam and filmmaker-husband Aditya Dhar have reportedly moved their permanent base from Mumbai to Himachal Pradesh, choosing a quieter and more private lifestyle away from the constant spotlight of the city.
According to recent media reports, the couple continues to travel to Mumbai for professional commitments but prefers to spend their personal time in Himachal Pradesh. The decision is reportedly in keeping with their preference for privacy and a life away from the public eye when they are not working.
A Heritage Home Close to Yamiโs Heart
For Yami Gautam, Himachal Pradesh has always held a special place in her life. Before her marriage, the actor purchased a nearly 100-year-old heritage home on a 25-acre property in Gohar, Mandi.
The property has a strong connection to Yamiโs family and childhood memories. Reports about the home have previously highlighted its traditional character and the actorโs attachment to preserving its original charm.
The couple also chose the Himachal property for their wedding in June 2021, further adding to its personal significance.
Keeping Life Simple
Rather than transforming the property into an elaborate celebrity residence, Yami and Aditya have reportedly chosen to retain its simple and natural character.
The home, surrounded by greenery and gardens, reflects a lifestyle that is distinctly different from the pace and visibility associated with Mumbaiโs entertainment industry. Reports suggest that the couple values the peace and privacy the property offers.
While their professional commitments will continue to bring them to Mumbai, Himachal Pradesh is now reportedly their preferred home base.
For the couple, the move represents a shift from the bustle of Mumbai to a more private life surrounded by nature and familiar family connections.
From the city of dreams to the hills of home, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar are reportedly choosing a quieter chapter in Himachal Pradesh.
