The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) has announced the Special Goan Section for Feature and Non-Feature Films for the 57th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa, scheduled to be held in Panaji from November 20 to 28, 2026.
The Special Goan Section aims to select feature and non-feature films demonstrating cinematic, thematic and aesthetic excellence for inclusion in the section, with screenings intended for the promotion of film art on a non-profit basis.
Goan Director’s Cut
A dedicated “Goan Director’s Cut” segment will once again form part of the Goan Section. The segment provides Goan directors an opportunity to present their distinctive work and celebrates the vision and storytelling of filmmakers from Goa.
According to ESG, the segment contributes to the diversity and richness of IFFI’s programming.
Entry Categories
Applications are being invited under the following sections:
- Goan Premiere Section
- Goan Non-Premiere Section
Separate regulations have also been issued for:
- Goan Producers Premiere Section
- Goan Producers Non-Premiere Section
- Goan Directors Premiere Section
- Goan Directors Non-Premiere Section
The official ESG website has made the respective entry forms and regulations available for applicants.
Last Date: October 15
The last date for receipt of applications along with supporting materials is October 15, 2026. ESG has stated that applications received after the deadline may be rejected without reference to the applicant.
Filmmakers and producers interested in having their work considered for the Special Goan Section can access the official entry forms and regulations through the Entertainment Society of Goa.
