Porvorim, Goa: The Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and the Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Goa, in collaboration with the Disability Alliance for Inclusive Goa (DAIG), organised a Patriotic Karaoke Singing Competition for Persons with Disabilities at Manohar Parrikar Hall, Sanjay School, Porvorim.
The event brought together participants with disabilities to showcase their musical talent while celebrating the spirit of patriotism through popular patriotic songs.
The programme was attended by State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Shri Guruprasad Pawaskar, Secretary, Office of the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Shri Taha Haaziq, Director, Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Smt. Varsha Naik, along with other dignitaries.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp by the dignitaries, marking the beginning of the celebration.
Celebrating Talent Through Music
The karaoke competition provided participants with an opportunity to express themselves through music and demonstrate their singing abilities in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The event also highlighted the importance of creating platforms where persons with disabilities can participate, compete and showcase their talents on an equal footing.
Participants brought their enthusiasm and patriotic spirit to the stage, making the competition a celebration of both artistic expression and national pride.
Winners Felicitated
Prizes were presented to the winners of the Patriotic Karaoke Singing Competition in recognition of their performances, talent and enthusiastic participation.
