Actor Imran Khan is officially making his much-awaited return to films after a decade-long break from lead roles. The actor has wrapped shooting for his upcoming Netflix film Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, marking his first full-fledged acting project in 10 years.
Imran Khan, who became a household name with films like Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and Delhi Belly, stepped away from the spotlight after his last major release, Katti Batti (2015). Over the years, fans have frequently speculated about his return, and the actor has addressed questions about a possible comeback on several occasions.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, Imran confirmed that he has completed filming for Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, which is currently in post-production.
“I have just finished shooting a new movie. It’s my first movie in 10 years, and we’re in post-production right now. It’s called Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It’s for Netflix and is scheduled to come out at the end of this year. It’s a grown-up romantic comedy… age-appropriate to where I am now,” Imran shared.
The actor revealed that he wanted his comeback project to reflect his current phase of life rather than returning with a conventional commercial entertainer.
Talking about the film, Imran said he worked with young actor Gurfateh Pirzada and described Adhure Hum Adhure Tum as a project he “simply had to make after 10 years.”
Directed by Danish Aslam, who previously collaborated with Imran on Break Ke Baad, the film is expected to feature Bhumi Pednekar in a key role. The movie is scheduled to premiere on Netflix later this year.
Imran Khan’s return has generated excitement among fans who fondly remember his performances in romantic comedies and coming-of-age films. With Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, the actor is set to begin a new chapter in his cinematic journey.
