Shri Ramlila Mahasangh Requests Special Screening of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Before Theatrical Release

Ahead of the much-awaited release of filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, the Shri Ramlila Mahasangh has approached the makers requesting a special screening of the film before it reaches theatres.

The organisation has written to the filmmakers seeking an opportunity to watch the film in advance, with the aim of ensuring that the cinematic adaptation remains respectful towards the original essence, traditions, and values associated with the revered epic.

Arjun Kumar, President of Shri Ramlila Mahasangh, stated that the organisation’s primary objective is not to interfere with creative expression but to ensure that the cultural and spiritual significance of the Ramayana is preserved.

The upcoming film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Sunny Deol in key roles and is among the most anticipated Indian films. The project has generated significant excitement among audiences due to its scale, mythology-based narrative, and star cast.

The Shri Ramlila Mahasangh believes that any adaptation of the epic carries a responsibility towards maintaining its core values and traditions, which have been passed down through generations.

The film is scheduled for a Diwali release in India and overseas markets, making it one of the biggest releases expected during the festive season.
