Curchorem, Goa: Reinforcing the importance of road safety and responsible driving among youth, JCI Curchorem, in collaboration with the Traffic Cell, Curchorem, and the Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Curchorem, successfully organised a Road Safety Awareness Programme on 24th June 2026.
The awareness session was conducted by Mr. Shashi R. Rathod, Police Constable, Traffic Cell, Curchorem, who educated participants on the importance of obeying traffic rules, safe driving practices, road discipline, and the responsibilities of every road user.
During the interactive programme, students were encouraged to cultivate safe driving habits, wear helmets and seat belts, avoid distracted driving, and strictly follow traffic regulations to reduce accidents and save lives.
The organisers highlighted that road safety is a shared responsibility and urged participants to become ambassadors of safe driving within their families and communities.
The programme concluded with a strong message that every life matters and that responsible road behaviour can significantly contribute to making roads safer for everyone.
The initiative was organised under the leadership of JFM GRAHFARJ N. P. Fernandes, President of JCI Curchorem, with JC Stephan Mascarenhas serving as the Project Director.
