The Institute Menezes Braganza (IMB), Panaji, observed the death anniversary of renowned Goan poet B.B. Borkar (Bakibab) with a commemorative programme held at the Ground Floor Hall of Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science, Margao.
The event paid tribute to the immense literary contributions of Bakibab Borkar, whose poetry in Konkani and Marathi continues to inspire generations of readers and writers. The programme highlighted his enduring legacy and his invaluable contribution to Goa’s cultural and literary heritage.
The ceremony was inaugurated by renowned Goan poet Shri. Dilip Borkar, in the presence of Chairman of Institute Menezes Braganza, Shri. Dashrath Parab, Member Secretary Shri. Ashok Parab, and other distinguished guests.
The gathering brought together literature enthusiasts, academicians, students, and admirers of Bakibab’s work to remember and celebrate the life and achievements of one of Goa’s greatest literary icons.
