Hrithik Roshan is all set to make a special cameo appearance in Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated action entertainer Jailer 2, creating excitement among fans across the country. The appearance will mark a rare and nostalgic reunion between the two stars, who last shared screen space nearly four decades ago in the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada.
In Bhagwaan Dada, a young Hrithik Roshan appeared as the foster son of Rajinikanth’s character, making it one of his earliest acting appearances before he eventually rose to become one of Bollywood’s biggest stars. Their upcoming reunion in Jailer 2 is expected to be a major highlight of the film.
According to reports, Hrithik has formally come on board after discussions with the makers and is scheduled to shoot his portions in Chennai on June 22 and 23. Multiple look tests are reportedly being planned, with sources describing his role as action-heavy and crucial to the film’s storyline.
The cameo is said to appear at a pivotal moment in the narrative, helping drive the story forward. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan was previously in discussions for a special appearance in the film but reportedly stepped away due to scheduling conflicts.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Indian films in recent years. The sequel boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Vijay Sethupathi, Mithun Chakraborty, SJ Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan and Yogi Babu.
