From the quiet village of Dramapur in South Goa to the glamorous world of international fashion weeks and global pageantry, the journey of a Goan photographer who successfully balances a nursing career with international fashion photography is an inspiring example of dedication and vision.
Born and raised in Dramapur, South Goa, he completed his schooling at Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim, and later pursued his Higher Secondary education in Science at Cuncolim United Higher Secondary School. In March 2019, he moved to the United Kingdom to pursue higher education and build a better future, eventually graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing from Keele University, England.
While nursing became his professional path, photography remained a constant passion. His formal introduction to the craft began at the Stenodac Institute of Professional Photography in Panjim, Goa. What started as a creative interest gradually evolved into a serious pursuit through continuous self-learning, experimentation, and practical experience.
Speaking about his transition into fashion photography, he explains that it happened naturally through exposure to runway shows, editorial environments, and international pageantry events. Over time, he found himself increasingly drawn toward storytelling through fashion, where clothing, personality, confidence, and creativity come together within a single frame.
Today, his portfolio spans fashion editorials, runway photography, beauty pageants, and collaborations with models, designers, and public figures connected to prestigious global platforms such as Miss England, Miss World, and Miss Universe. His work has also appeared in international fashion publications, helping establish his presence on the global fashion stage.
One of the most defining moments of his career came when his photograph was selected for the front cover of the Miss England Calendar 2025. The cover featured Miss England 2024 Milla Magee and her “Beauty With A Purpose” campaign, #GoFarWithCPR. For the photographer, this recognition represented years of persistence, learning, and creative growth.
Despite working in the fast-paced world of fashion and pageantry, his background in nursing continues to shape his creative approach. Nursing taught him empathy, observation, patience, and emotional awareness—qualities that help him connect with subjects beyond the surface and tell more meaningful visual stories.
Beyond photography and healthcare, music has also played an important role in his life. He learned guitar at St. Sebastian Music School in Aquem, Margao, and performed at St. Joseph Church in Dramapur before moving to England. He later continued his musical journey by playing at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Osterley, demonstrating his deep connection to faith, creativity, and community.
Reflecting on the evolving landscape of fashion photography, he believes that while social media and artificial intelligence have transformed how images are created and consumed, authentic storytelling remains irreplaceable. According to him, technology can enhance creativity, but vision, emotion, and human connection continue to define impactful photography.
Looking ahead, he plans to expand his work across international fashion capitals such as London, Paris, and New York while exploring more cinematic and narrative-driven editorial projects. His long-term aspiration is to collaborate on global fashion campaigns that combine visual artistry with meaningful social impact.
For aspiring photographers from Goa, his advice is simple yet powerful: build a strong personal vision, remain patient with the process, and never underestimate the value of one’s roots. He believes that technical skills may open doors, but it is an individual’s unique perspective and storytelling ability that ultimately creates lasting success.
His journey stands as a testament to the fact that passion, when nurtured with discipline and purpose, can transcend borders and transform dreams into reality.
