Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) hosted Mr. Yaniv Revach, Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai, on his maiden visit to Goa on 26th May 2026.
GCCI President Mrs. Pratima Dhond warmly welcomed the Consul General with a floral bouquet and highlighted the growing India-Israel relations. She spotlighted Goa’s progress in IT, startups, agriculture, and logistics, and expressed optimism for enhanced collaboration in innovation, investment, and mutual prosperity.
Mr. Yaniv Revach noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel in February 2026 had significantly strengthened bilateral ties, with several MoUs signed in key sectors including Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, education, agriculture, and fisheries.
Dr. Sangam Kurade (Vice-President, GCCI), Mr. Manguirish Pai Raiker (Past President), Mr. Mahesh Patil (Chairman, Agriculture & Food Processing Committee), and Ms. Pallavi H. Arondekar (Director, GCCI) spoke on various aspects of Goa’s economy, including agriculture, food processing, Khazan ecosystem, MSMEs, and agri-tourism.
The Consul General expressed his willingness to make a detailed presentation on India-Israel economic opportunities during his next visit. Mrs. Pratima Dhond invited him to the forthcoming GCCI AGM on 27th June 2026.
A memento titled ‘Goa – It’s Tryst with Trade’ was presented to Mr. Revach, along with the book ‘The Khazans of Goa’.
The visit is seen as a promising step towards deeper economic and technological collaboration between Goa and Israel
