Dhinchak Pooja, the internet personality who shot to fame with her viral track Selfie Maine Leli Aaj, has officially entered a new phase of life — marriage.
The singer and content creator, whose real name is Pooja Jain, recently shared a wedding video montage on social media, surprising fans who still remember her as one of India’s earliest viral internet sensations.
In the video, Dhinchak Pooja shared glimpses from her wedding ceremony, including moments from the varmala ritual and clips of her posing for selfies in her bridal look. However, what caught everyone’s attention online was the fact that she chose to keep her husband’s face hidden throughout the announcement video.
Sharing the montage online, she wrote, “Some clips of my marriage, I will share more.”
For the wedding, Pooja wore a bright pink bridal outfit paired with heavy traditional jewellery and a statement nath, embracing a classic bridal aesthetic while maintaining her signature social media flair.
Soon after the post went live, fans flooded the comments section with humorous and nostalgic reactions.
One user joked, “Ab ganayega SHADI MAINE KAR LI AAJ.” Another fan commented, “Need a wedding track queen😍.”
Others reacted with surprise and nostalgia, with comments like, “I didn’t recognise this legend until I saw the account name,” and “My goat is married now???”
Several users also appreciated how Dhinchak Pooja navigated internet fame over the years, with one comment reading, “One of the only people to actually understand social media is a part of life, not whole life.”
Dhinchak Pooja first gained online attention around 2016 and 2017 with songs such as Swag Wali Topi and Daaru. However, it was Selfie Maine Leli Aaj that transformed her into a full-fledged internet phenomenon.
Her unconventional music videos, repetitive lyrics, and quirky performance style quickly became meme material across Indian social media, earning her the unofficial title of the “queen of cringe-pop.”
Despite criticism and trolling, Dhinchak Pooja managed to remain culturally relevant as one of the earliest creators to fully embrace viral internet culture in India.
Her wedding announcement has now sparked a fresh wave of nostalgia online, reminding many users of the early YouTube era when viral songs dominated social media conversations long before short-video platforms took over the internet.
