Tourists planning to visit the famous Gulmarg Gondola this week will have to revise their schedules as authorities have announced a temporary closure of the cable car service due to technical maintenance.
According to the latest update, the Gulmarg Gondola shall remain closed on May 26 and 27 to carry out essential maintenance work aimed at ensuring passenger safety and smooth operations.
Officials have also confirmed that all tickets booked for May 25, 26 and 27 will be fully refunded. The refund amount will automatically be credited back to the same account used during the original booking process.
The Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable car projects in the world, remains a major tourist attraction in Jammu and Kashmir and draws thousands of domestic and international visitors every year. The temporary suspension is expected to help the authorities complete technical checks and improve operational efficiency ahead of the busy tourist season.
Travellers are advised to stay updated through official tourism channels before planning their visit to Gulmarg during the maintenance period.
