Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has become the centre of fresh wedding speculation after a recent viral video showed her wearing a mangalsutra, sindoor and traditional attire.
The clip, shared by celebrity paparazzo pages online, quickly went viral across social media platforms, with fans questioning whether the actor had secretly tied the knot.
However, the rumours appear to be false.
According to reports, the look is linked to Queen 2, the sequel to Kangana’s critically acclaimed 2014 film Queen. The actor has reportedly started shooting for the much-awaited project, and the viral appearance is believed to be part of her character’s costume in the film.
The speculation gained momentum because Kangana was seen wearing symbols traditionally associated with marriage in Hindu culture, including a mangalsutra and sindoor. Since neither the actor nor her team immediately addressed the online buzz, many social media users assumed the appearance hinted at a secret wedding.
Soon, the internet was flooded with theories and congratulatory messages from fans.
Director Vikas Bahl has already confirmed that Queen 2 is officially in development. In an earlier interview, he revealed that the sequel had been in the works for some time and that the team had finally reached a concrete stage.
The original Queen became one of the most loved Hindi films of the decade. The story followed Rani Mehra, played by Kangana, who embarks on a solo honeymoon trip after being abandoned before her wedding. The film also starred Rajkummar Rao and Lisa Haydon and was praised for its emotional storytelling and strong female lead.
As of now, there is no confirmation or indication that Kangana Ranaut is married. The viral mangalsutra look appears to be strictly for her on-screen role in Queen 2.
