Ye’s First-Ever India Concert Postponed Amid Security Concerns In Delhi

Rapper and music producer Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has officially postponed his much-awaited India concert that was scheduled to take place on May 23, 2026, in New Delhi. The announcement was made by the organisers through an official statement shared on Instagram on Friday.

The concert, which was expected to mark Ye’s first-ever live performance in India, was initially planned for March 29 before being rescheduled to May 23 due to prevailing geopolitical concerns. However, organisers have now confirmed that the event has been postponed once again following security advisories and directives issued by authorities amid a high-alert situation in the national capital.

In their statement, the organisers said they were “deeply disheartened” by the development after months of planning and preparation for what was expected to become one of the largest live music productions ever staged in India.

The statement added that the safety and well-being of attendees, artists, crew members and citizens remained the highest priority. Organisers also confirmed that they are fully cooperating with officials and respecting all security-related guidance during the sensitive period.

The event was set to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi and was being organised by White Fox, Wizcraft and Plush Entertainment. The concert was part of Ye’s ongoing global tour and had generated significant excitement among fans across India.

Known for his visually grand and immersive live performances, Ye’s concerts are often characterised by large-scale stage production, dramatic lighting, innovative sound design and high-energy performances. Fans had eagerly anticipated witnessing the globally acclaimed artist perform live in India for the very first time.

The organisers reassured ticket holders that full refunds would be processed for all purchases made through the ticketing platform District. They further stated that discussions are currently underway with Ye’s team to finalise a new date and venue for the concert.

The organisers added that future updates regarding the rescheduled concert would be shared through official communication channels.

Ye remains one of the most influential and controversial figures in global music and pop culture. Over the years, he has delivered multiple chart-topping albums and has built a reputation for pushing creative boundaries in music, fashion and live entertainment.

Despite the postponement, fans continue to hope that the rapper’s India debut concert will eventually take place once conditions permit.
