South Goa MP Viriato Fernandes Facilitates Advanced Cardiac Life Saving Ambulance Through MPLAD Fund

South Goa Member of Parliament Viriato Fernandes has facilitated an Advanced Cardiac Life Saving Ambulance under the MPLAD (Members of Parliament Local Area Development) Fund for the people of South Goa, strengthening emergency medical response services in the region.

The initiative aims to improve access to timely and advanced healthcare support, especially during cardiac emergencies and critical medical situations where rapid intervention can save lives. The specially equipped ambulance is expected to serve patients across South Goa by providing faster emergency transportation along with life-saving medical facilities on board.

The Advanced Cardiac Life Saving Ambulance is equipped with specialised emergency care systems designed to stabilise patients during transit before they reach hospitals for further treatment. The addition of such a facility is expected to significantly benefit residents, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas where emergency healthcare accessibility can sometimes be challenging.

The move has been welcomed by citizens and healthcare supporters, who have appreciated the effort towards improving public health infrastructure in South Goa. The initiative reflects the growing focus on strengthening emergency medical services and healthcare preparedness in the state.

The MPLAD scheme allows Members of Parliament to recommend developmental works in their constituencies, with healthcare infrastructure continuing to remain a priority area for many regions across the country.
