Ram Charan has officially wrapped up his portions for the upcoming sports drama Peddi, marking a key milestone in the film’s production journey. The update was shared by cinematographer Rathnavelu, who took to social media to announce the news along with behind-the-scenes glimpses from the sets.
In an emotional note, Rathnavelu described the project as a “memorable journey” and praised Ram Charan for both his on-screen intensity and off-screen camaraderie. He referred to the actor as a “powerhouse performer,” adding that working with him had been a special experience.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi has been generating buzz for its sports-centric storyline and the transformation of Ram Charan into a rugged wrestler-like character. A recently released poster titled Peddi Pehelwan had already captured attention, showcasing the actor in a striking new avatar.
While the talkie portions of the film are reportedly complete, the makers had earlier confirmed that one song remains to be filmed. The project is currently in post-production, with the team focusing on fine-tuning technical aspects to achieve what they described as “absolute perfection.”
Initially expected to release on June 25, 2026, the film has now been postponed, with the makers yet to announce a revised release date. The delay, according to the production team, is intended to ensure the highest quality output, especially in terms of editing, sound design and visual presentation.
The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu in key roles, while music is composed by A. R. Rahman. Reports also suggest that a special song featuring Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan has already been shot in Hyderabad.
Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers under the banner Vriddhi Cinemas, Peddi is shaping up to be a high-profile release in Telugu cinema.
With Ram Charan completing his shoot, the film now moves into its crucial post-production phase, as fans await further updates on its release timeline.
