Panaji, April 28, 2026: The Women’s Wing Committee of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry successfully organized a powerful Masterclass on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) at the Workplace at the GCCI Surendrababu Timblo Convention Hall.
The event was held in collaboration with SARVAM for PoSH Foundation and Nari Shakti – Empowering Women, with the aim of creating awareness about the PoSH Act and encouraging safe, respectful, and inclusive workplaces.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Sandra Fernandes, Chairperson of the GCCI Women’s Wing Committee, who highlighted the need to ensure dignity, safety, and respect in professional environments.
The masterclass was led by Ms. Ashwini Patwardhan, Director and Founder of SARVAM for PoSH Foundation and a recognized PoSH expert. She shared detailed insights into the legal framework of the PoSH Act, explained the roles and responsibilities of Internal Committees, and discussed practical ways to address workplace concerns.
The session also featured real-life case studies and interactive discussions, allowing participants to better understand workplace safety protocols.
The event was compered by Vice Chairperson Ms. Gouri Joshi, who ensured smooth coordination throughout the programme.
The session witnessed active participation from GCCI members, HR professionals, and representatives from various industries.
Prominent GCCI Women’s Wing members present included Chairperson Ms. Sandra Fernandes, Vice Chairperson Ms. Gouri Joshi, Assistant Director Ms. Melane Rodrigues, Ms. Deepali Naik, CA Swatee Rane, and Ms. Simran Dhond.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and certificate distribution for participants.
