Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met and congratulated rangoli artist Akash Naik from Kavle, Ponda, at the Mahalaxmi Temple, Panaji, where a beautifully detailed rangoli of Devi Shri Lairai was created ahead of the annual Lairai Jatra.
The intricate artwork, reflecting devotion and cultural artistry, drew attention for its detailed representation of the revered deity. The rangoli, made in anticipation of one of Goaโs most significant religious festivals, highlights the deep-rooted spiritual traditions associated with the Lairai Jatra.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister appreciated the artistโs dedication and effort in showcasing Goaโs cultural heritage through traditional art forms. He acknowledged the importance of preserving such artistic expressions that continue to connect communities with their spiritual and cultural roots.
The meeting also served as a recognition of local talent contributing to Goaโs vibrant festival traditions, where devotion and creativity come together to enhance the festive atmosphere across the state.
