Pramod Sawant, along with Dr Deviya Rane and other dignitaries, inaugurated G-Food Fest 2026 at Lok Bhavan, Dona Paula, Goa. The event was organised by the Goa State Rural Livelihood Mission under the aegis of the Department of Rural Development, Government of Goa.
The festival aims to promote rural entrepreneurship by providing a platform for self-help groups and local producers to showcase their food products and culinary skills. It highlights the diversity of Goan cuisine while encouraging sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
G-Food Fest 2026 brings together participants from across the state, offering a wide range of traditional and innovative food items prepared by rural communities. The initiative reflects the governmentโs continued focus on strengthening rural economies, supporting women entrepreneurs, and creating market linkages for local products.
The presence of key dignitaries underscored the importance of such initiatives in fostering inclusive growth and preserving Goaโs rich culinary heritage while generating employment opportunities.
