Malabar Gold & Diamonds Launches ₹1,000 Crore Global Manufacturing Facility in Hyderabad

Hyderabad | July 2025 : India has added another jewel to its crown with the Malabar Group opening its largest jewellery manufacturing facility globally in Hyderabad. With an investment of ₹1,000 crore, the world-class facility positions Hyderabad as a key centre for luxury craftsmanship and export-driven manufacturing in the global jewellery trade.

Spread across three lakh sq. ft. in Telangana’s Industrial Park, the facility is designed to employ over 2,500 skilled artisans, creating a major boost for both local employment and India’s position in global jewellery exports.

This project aligns with the Government of India’s “Make in India” and “Skill India” initiatives, providing world-class infrastructure, advanced machinery, and design labs. The facility will produce gold, diamond, and platinum jewellery for both domestic and international markets, with a strong focus on the U.S., Middle East, and European markets.

Malabar’s Hyderabad unit blends traditional craftsmanship with modern automation, including:

  • Laser soldering and 3D printing
  • AI-powered quality control
  • CAD/CAM design technology
  • Environmentally responsible gold refining systems

The Telangana government has welcomed the project as a major vote of confidence in the state’s investor-friendly policies and skilled workforce. Officials have stated that Hyderabad is quickly becoming a global luxury manufacturing and export hub, not just for IT but for fine craftsmanship as well.

Speaking at the inauguration, Malabar Group Chairman M.P. Ahammed said:

“This is not just a factory—it’s a statement that India can lead the world in jewellery design, quality, and manufacturing excellence. Our investment reflects our belief in India’s skilled hands and Telangana’s dynamic support.”

Malabar’s new Hyderabad facility is set to export fine jewellery to over 20 countries, creating a ripple effect in India’s GDP, exports, and employment generation. As India continues to shine on the global luxury map, this move cements its status as a world leader in jewellery design and production.
