JCI Panaji Hosts Successful Blood Donation Camp in Pernem


JCI Panaji, in association with Sarthak Foundation and supported by Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College and Research Centre, successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp on February 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the college premises in Virnoda–Pernem, Goa.

The camp was conducted with the objective of promoting voluntary blood donation and creating awareness about the life-saving importance of donating blood. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, JCI members and local residents, all of whom came forward to contribute selflessly to the noble cause.

The event was further supported by Kidzee Pernem, whose encouragement added value to the initiative and strengthened community engagement. Strict medical protocols and safety measures were observed throughout the camp to ensure a smooth and secure donation process. Experienced medical professionals were present on-site to guide donors, conduct health screenings and ensure that each participant felt comfortable and cared for during the procedure.

The drive not only helped collect valuable units of blood for those in need but also served as a platform to instill a deeper sense of social responsibility among the youth. The strong turnout reflected the growing awareness about voluntary blood donation and the willingness of the community to actively participate in humanitarian initiatives.

The project was led under the dynamic leadership of JFM Srushti Nagvekar, President; JC Sudesh Salgaonkar, Secretary; and JC Vinay Gawas, Project Director, whose coordinated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the camp. Their leadership and teamwork played a pivotal role in mobilising volunteers, coordinating logistics and encouraging maximum participation.

JCI Panaji extended heartfelt gratitude to all donors, supporters, volunteers and partnering organisations for their valuable contribution. Through such impactful initiatives, the organisation continues to uphold its commitment to community development, humanitarian service and building a healthier, more compassionate society.

JCI Panaji Conducts “Love Beyond Romance” Session to Empower Youth in Mapusa

JCI Panaji, in collaboration with the Counselling Cell of Purushottom Walawalkar Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, organised a powerful and thought-provoking session titled “Love Beyond Romance” on 4 February 2026. The programme was led by Zone Trainer JC Nikita Gupta and was specially designed to guide young minds through emotional awareness, values and life skills.


Moving beyond stereotypical notions of romance, the session encouraged students to explore the deeper meaning of love as an expansive emotion rooted in empathy, responsibility and unity. Through interactive activities and open discussions, students were introduced to the idea that love extends to one’s country, community, teachers and peers, shaping a balanced and compassionate outlook on life.

The core focus of the session was on universal values and unity, with emphasis on emotional management, manners and etiquette. The training aimed to equip students with essential life skills that help bridge personal gaps, promote integrity and foster a sense of togetherness rather than isolation.

The response from both students and faculty was overwhelmingly positive. Students actively participated and resonated deeply with the fresh perspective on emotions and relationships. Faculty members expressed appreciation to JCI Panaji, noting that the session offered a meaningful and timely message for today’s youth. Encouraged by its impact, the school has requested more such initiatives to support holistic character development among students.

The programme reaffirmed the importance of nurturing empathy, respect and emotional intelligence among young individuals, preparing them to lead lives guided by understanding and universal respect.

JCI Panaji’s Non-Jaycee Orientation Draws Strong Youth Participation, Sparks Interest in Leadership and Impact


JCI Panaji successfully conducted its Non-Jaycee Orientation on January 22, 2026, in Panaji, witnessing an enthusiastic response from young professionals, students, and aspiring leaders eager to learn more about leadership, networking, and community impact through Junior Chamber International. The session was held at Gera Imperium 2, Patto, Panjim, and served as an engaging introduction to the organisation’s values and opportunities.

The orientation was led by JFM Saikrishna Mandrekar, Zone Chairman – JCOM, JCI India Zone 11, who delivered an insightful and motivating session. He highlighted JCI’s mission of empowering young people to create positive change and shared experiences that reflected the organisation’s focus on leadership development, personal growth, and community service.

Participants actively engaged throughout the session, seeking clarity on JCI’s projects, training programmes, and global networking opportunities. The interactive discussions helped attendees understand what it means to be a Jaycee and how involvement with JCI can shape leadership skills while creating meaningful social impact.

Members of JCI Panaji expressed satisfaction with the strong turnout and positive engagement, noting that the response reflects a growing desire among youth to contribute to society while investing in personal and professional growth. JCI Ponda Honours Late Shri Ravi Sitaram Naik with Lifetime Achievement Award at 54th Installation Ceremony

JCI Ponda successfully organised its 54th Installation Ceremony on December 14, 2025, at Hotel Shakti Palace, Ponda, marking an important milestone and leadership transition within the organisation. The ceremony was attended by Jaycees, past presidents, junior Jaycee members and invited guests, reflecting the strong sense of unity and purpose that defines the organisation.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Kautuk Prabhu Bhatikar, Deputy Medical Superintendent of Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Shiroda. The Guest of Honour was JFD Shabha Gauns, Zone President 2025, while JFM Adv. Mamta Naik, Zone President Elect 2026, attended as Special Invitee. Their presence added significance to the occasion, highlighting the role of JCI in nurturing leadership and community engagement.

During the ceremony, JC Adv. Chaitali Agarwadekar was sworn in as the 54th President of JCI Ponda, along with her Local Governing Board team. In her address, the newly installed president reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening community service initiatives, leadership development programmes and meaningful engagement among members. The outgoing president, JFM Vadiraj Inamdar, was felicitated and appreciated for his dedicated service and impactful leadership during his tenure.

A defining moment of the evening was the announcement of the Lifetime Achievement Award in honour of Past President Late Shri Ravi Sitaram Naik, recognising his outstanding and enduring contribution to JCI Ponda and society at large. Born and raised in Ponda, Late Shri Ravi Naik went on to become one of Goa’s most respected political leaders, serving the state with distinction for over four decades. He was elected seven times as a Member of the Goa Legislative Assembly from the Ponda and Marcaim constituencies and also served as Member of Parliament from North Goa.

His association with the Jaycee movement remained deep and unwavering. As the 12th President of JCI Ponda in 1984, he played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s growth and values. Even after his presidency, he continued to actively support JCI initiatives, participate in events, host visiting dignitaries and offer guidance to younger members. For nearly 41 years, he extended steadfast support to JCI Ponda’s Annual Running Race held on March 12 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Goa’s first Chief Minister, Late Shri Bhausaheb Bandodkar, helping transform it into a flagship community event.

Late Shri Ravi Naik’s encouragement of youth leadership, promotion of fitness and lifelong association with JCI brought immense pride to the Jaycee fraternity. His legacy, remembered with gratitude and respect, continues to inspire members to serve with integrity and commitment.

The ceremony concluded on a positive and reflective note, underscoring the organisation’s shared vision of leadership, service and continuity, while honouring a leader whose contributions will remain etched in the history of JCI Ponda.
