The Union Home Ministry has released updated guidelines on the singing and playing of ‘Vande Mataram’, stating that audiences must stand to attention during the official version of the National Song. The directive also clarifies that when both the National Song and National Anthem are performed together, ‘Vande Mataram’ will be presented first.
