Shot of the Week β I always have a thing with colors…

Travel leaves you speechless and turns you into a storyteller. And what better than knowing about the story from the native’s mouth. Airbnb just got it right, with recently launching it’s one of it’s kind experience in the very state of Goa. This enchances the traveller’s experience as you get to know inside stories about the facts from the locals itself.
Guide Books help you alot, but they don’t answer your questions and so locals are very important!
Discussing on the Launch of this one of a kind experience in Goa, the head of Airbnb Global Public Policy & Communication, Chris Lehane saidΒ “Airbnb Experiences make travel magical again by immersing guests in local communities around the world. We want Goans to participate and benefit from local tourism by sharing their interests and passions, enabling them to make additional remuneration.”
Planning to Travel to Know About Goa?
Airbnb is to your rescue – Here are the Key Highlights one should look out for in the Experiences in Goa :

1. Windsurf with a Champ:Β This experience is hosted by Derrick Menezes, a 15 time national windsurfing champion and pioneering water sports aficionado in Goa who has also represented India at the 1998 Asian Games. In this fun windsurfing experience, Derrick teaches the basics of windsurfing at beautiful Hawaii beach in the village of Dona Paula. By the end of the session, guests will gain enough confidence to sail across the wind back and forth.

2. Panaji City Walking Tour:Β This experience is hosted by Ramachandran, a Goan who is an avid traveler and passionate about sharing historical knowledge of his home town. Focusing on the local stories and trivia of Panaji, the capital of Goa that overlooks the magnificent Mandovi River, the tour begins with the historic buildings and churches of the Latin Quarter where one can witness colonial Portuguese influence first hand.Β Guests will visit quaint narrow lanes dotted with colorful heritage buildings with terracotta-tiled roofs, wrought iron balconies and arched oyster-shell windows. The walk ends with a traditional Goan breakfast.

3. Old Goa Heritage Walk:Β This experience is hosted by Pooja & Rohan, who belong to one of Goa’s well known families with Portuguese roots. In this heritage walk, guests get to visit 5-6 UNESCO World Heritage sites located in Old Goa.Β They will learn about the history of the colonial Portuguese era, the establishment of Catholicism in the state, and tales of Old Goa which was founded in the 15th century as a port on the banks of the Mandovi River.
Wow! Now that sounds interesting, isn’t it? Airbnb Experiences are actively designed and led by inspiring locals. A plus point what makes me inclined towards this, is that they go beyond typical tours or classes by immersing guests in each hostβs unique world. So, If you are planning a holiday in Goa or if you are in Goa and would want to know about the adventure, heritage, Airbnb is all set to host you.Β I’m gonna personally take these tours as they seem very interesting. And I will write about it soon! You too can join me on these tours… Until We Meet Again! #TravelWithAllycaral
Hello Allys,
Hope You all are doing fine this Friday. This week special feature is from the Snowland – Switzerland. Yes, Switzerland is one of my favourites for in Goa we don’t get snow! Like any person from Uttarakhand who visits Goa, goes gaga about the beach. I go gaga about the snow. However Today I am not discussing about the sno, but about a famous landmark – The Lion Monument. This monument is the pride of Lucern city. Widely also known as the The Lion of Lucern.
This Ancient Monument has a story to tell, just like how every monument has one. But the story of this one will definately touch your soul. This monument was built to salute the hardwork that the Swiss put during the French Revolution. This place has turned to be one of the most visited landmarks, turning out to be a major tourist destination in Switzerland’s Lucern city.
The idea of having this monument engraved on the cliff dates back during the early 18th Century. Where the Danish Sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen designed this monument along with Lukas Ahorn to carve the cliff into the design of the picture we see today. If one takes a closer look at the monument one can see some text written on the top of the cliff in latin which says Helvetiorum Fidei ac Virtuti which means To the Loyalty and Bravery of the Swiss.
This beautiful monument we see is of a Lion carved on the cliff depicting the plight of a dying Lion. TheΒ dying state of the Lion with a shield near him and spear peaking from his body, while he is seen covering the fleur-d-lis which means stylized lily (Symbolizing the French Monarchy) This depicts how the Lion symbolizing the Swiss fought bravely till the end to safeguard the honor of the French, eventually loosing their lives.

Hello My Allys,
It is Friday! Weekend is here which means that holiday is just around the corner. How was your week? Did this week treat you well? Or It was a kind of week where you were pushing yourself to somehow reach Sunday? Well, if it does, let me tell you it is absolutely okay! Sometimes, there are days when you feel like that (And hey! it’s okay to have one, even I too have bad days!) Remind yourself that this is just a phrase, better days are coming! On such days, you know what I do? If I am at home, I take the bike and go riding aimlessly exploring new roads while when I am at work, I head towards my office terrace or for that matter I quickly walk around my office to explore a new place near by or simply just explore a coffee shop in my area. And Trust me, it makes me feel tons and tons of times better.

On one such day, I explored this Rainbow Square, a lil near my work place. It isn’t named as the Rainbow Square but I found it to be like one! So I call it that. Initially, I thought it was just another wall painted but as I explored this place I realized that it is somewhat like a square which starts from the Altinho Road and goes down towards the Boca De Vaca Spring Tunnel. (The story of this spring is coming up soon in my next post)
Just take the road heading towards Altinho, right ahead of the Consulate General of Portugal in Goa,

TIPS OF THE DAY
If you are in Panjim, explore this road Enjoy the true beauty of Goa. Re – energize your soul by capturing this magnifient sight. And Remember no matter how hard or the difficult the day is, You need to keep yourself going! As when Situation gets Tough, Tough Gets going.
