Realme 16 Pro Series Confirmed for India Launch: Design Revealed and Key Specs Leaked

Written by Tanisha Cardozo || Team Allycaral

Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro series will be launching in India soon, marking the next major addition to its popular number series. The lineup is expected to include two models—the Realme 16 Pro and the Realme 16 Pro+—which will succeed the Realme 15 Pro 5G launched in July. Interestingly, the previous generation did not include a Pro+ variant, making this the first time the brand is expanding the “Pro” lineup with an additional premium model.

A teaser shared by Realme reveals a slim device featuring a golden middle frame and a subtly raised rear camera module, offering an early look at the design language of the Realme 16 Pro series. Certification listings for the Realme 16 Pro, appearing with model number RMX5121 on China’s TENAA and MIIT platforms, show a flat display on the front and a square-shaped camera module with rounded edges positioned on the top-left corner on the back panel. These images suggest a refined yet understated aesthetic approach.

The Realme 16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. It is likely to run on a 2.5GHz processor paired with Realme UI 7 based on Android 16. Camera upgrades appear to be a major focus, with the device reportedly featuring a 200MP primary rear camera and a 50MP front camera. The smartphone is also rumoured to include a massive 7,000mAh battery, complemented by 80W fast charging support, making it one of the larger battery capacities in the segment. Additional features may include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, and configuration options offering up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The device is expected to come in grey, gold, and purple colour options, weighing approximately 192g and measuring around 7.75mm in thickness.

Meanwhile, the Realme 16 Pro+ is anticipated to follow in the footsteps of the Realme 14 Pro+ 5G. Expected to carry the model number RMX5131, this Pro+ variant may share several specifications with the standard Pro model but come in new colour options such as Camellia Pink, Master Gold, and Master Grey. Although Realme has not yet revealed all the details, further specifications, pricing, and availability information are expected to be announced as the launch date approaches. With promising upgrades in design, performance, and camera capabilities, the Realme 16 Pro series is set to draw significant attention in the Indian smartphone market.

Rockstar Games Delays Grand Theft Auto VI to November 2026

In a move that has surprised fans worldwide, Rockstar Games has announced yet another delay for its much-anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto VI. Originally slated for a Fall 2025 release and later moved to Spring 2026, the game will now hit shelves on November 19, 2026.

According to Rockstar, the decision stems from their commitment to ensuring “the highest level of polish and quality” before launch. The company stated that the delay will allow additional time to refine gameplay, visuals, and performance — a hallmark of the franchise’s long-standing reputation.

The announcement had an immediate financial impact: parent company Take-Two Interactive saw its stock fall by 11% shortly after the news broke. Industry analysts attribute this to both fan frustration and market concern over the studio’s timeline.

Adding to the speculation, rumors of internal restructuring and staff dismissals circulated online. However, Rockstar Games has officially denied any connection between the alleged layoffs and the game’s postponement.

Fans across social media expressed mixed reactions — disappointment over the delay, yet optimism that the extra time could lead to another groundbreaking entry in the iconic Grand Theft Auto series.

Grand Theft Auto VI remains one of the most highly anticipated games in recent memory, promising expansive open-world gameplay, improved AI, and next-gen visual fidelity.

Instagram Rolls Out New Features: Reposts, Map, and Friends Tab to Boost Social Connectivity

Meta has officially announced a fresh round of Instagram features that aim to make the platform more interactive, community-focused, and creator-friendly. In a blog post dated August 6, 2025, Meta detailed a set of tools designed to help users share, discover, and connect more meaningfully.

🔁 Reposts – Share What You Love

Now users can repost Reels and posts, allowing easy sharing of favourite content with their followers. These reposts will be shown on followers’ feeds and stored in a dedicated tab on the user’s profile.

“Reposts will be recommended to your friends’ and followers’ feeds, and they’ll also be in a separate tab on your profile,” Meta explained.

Creators will benefit too — reposts can help boost visibility and expand reach beyond their direct followers.

🗺️ The Map – Location Sharing With a Social Twist

A new Instagram Map feature lets users explore posts by location, opt-in to location sharing with selected friends, and discover posts from favourite creators tagged in unique spots. The feature mirrors Snapchat’s map concept but integrates Instagram’s content style.

“It’s a lightweight way to connect with your friends, based on where they’re exploring,” says Meta.

🎥 Friends Tab in Reels – Know What Your Circle is Watching

The Friends Tab, now globally launched, appears at the top of the Reels section. It shows users the public Reels their friends have interacted with, helping promote conversations around shared interests and boosting engagement within friend groups.

“This helps you see what the people you care about most are creating and engaging with,” Meta said.

WhatsApp Bans Over 9.8 Million Indian Accounts in June for Misuse and Spam

In a significant digital enforcement move, WhatsApp banned more than 9.8 million Indian accounts during June 2025. The figure, released as part of WhatsApp’s monthly compliance report under India’s IT Rules, 2021, highlights the platform’s growing vigilance in combating misuse and maintaining user safety.

Key Highlights:

  • 📅 Period: June 1 to June 30, 2025
  • 🔒 Accounts Banned: 9,822,000
  • 📢 Reasons: Spam messaging, policy violations, and user complaints

According to WhatsApp, the bans were primarily proactive—identified through AI and machine learning tools that monitor behavior for suspicious activity including mass messaging and fake accounts.

A smaller percentage of the bans came through user reports, which included spam, harassment, and fraud. WhatsApp also acknowledged action taken on grievances submitted via the India Grievance Officer channel.

IT Rules, 2021:

The move aligns with India’s Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, which require large platforms to publish monthly reports detailing user complaints and the action taken.

What It Means for Users:

This massive enforcement emphasizes the importance of responsible digital behavior. Users are urged to:

  • Avoid forwarding unverified content
  • Refrain from spam or bulk messaging
  • Respect community guidelines and local laws

As India continues to be one of WhatsApp’s largest markets, the platform’s efforts to maintain a safe, spam-free experience will remain in focus.
