MES’s Vasant Joshi College Hosts Shikshan Sanman Honouring 11 Educators & Leaders in Mormugao


Panaji, 6th September 2025: MES’s Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Vasco, hosted Shikshan Sanman on the occasion of Teachers’ Day 2025 to honour 11 principals, vice-principals, and educators from Mormugao taluka. The event celebrated the visionary leaders whose dedication and commitment to education have shaped institutions, inspired teachers, and nurtured young minds.

The ceremony, held at the Principal M. S. Kamat Seminar Hall, began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by dignitaries, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment. Prof. Manasvi M. Kamat, Principal of MES Vasant Joshi College, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the college’s achievements in teaching, research, and community engagement.

The Chief Guest, Shri. Zingade, and the President of the function, Ms. Lalitha Joshi, were felicitated with potted plants as a token of respect. The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of 11 distinguished educators, including Ms. Anupama Mehra, Principal of Navy Children School, and Dr. Sandhya Venkatesh, Principal of Mount Litera Zee School, who shared heartfelt reflections on their educational journeys.

In his address, Chief Guest Shri. Zingade commended the relentless efforts of educators in shaping future generations and highlighted the importance of schools in moulding individuals. President Ms. Lalitha Joshi praised the college’s initiative in recognising educators and emphasised the need for visionary leadership in education.

As a mark of gratitude, a memento was presented to the Chief Guest. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Fatima D’Costa, Coordinator of the event, who acknowledged the collective efforts of faculty, staff, and students in making Shikshan Sanman a memorable celebration of education and leadership.

St. Aloysius High School, Diwadi has added another feather to its cap by receiving the prestigious “MAZHI LAB BARI LAB” Award on the special occasion of Teachers’ Day 2025. The award was presented by Hon.
