Priority Titans Edge Baale Tigers by 1 Run, Storm into PGML 5.0 Final


Panaji witnessed a heart-stopping cricket encounter as Priority Titans edged past Baale Tigers by a solitary run in Qualifier 2 of the PGML 5.0 tournament, organised by the Panaji Gymkhana. Played at the Bandodkar Ground, the high-stakes clash lived up to expectations, delivering a finish that kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the very last ball.

After being put in to bat, Priority Titans posted a competitive total of 163 for 9 in their 20 overs. Heramb Shankar Parab anchored the innings with a composed 50 off 41 balls, while Rijul Pathak added a steady 37. Kiran Shirwaikar provided the much-needed acceleration with a quickfire 34 off just 15 deliveries, and Jaipal Mada chipped in with an unbeaten 21 towards the end to push the total to a defendable score.

In response, Baale Tigers began confidently, with Lakshay Garg and Sandeep Dahad stitching together a solid opening stand. Samar Dubhashi further strengthened the chase with a well-paced 40, keeping his side firmly in contention.

The match reached a dramatic climax in the final over, with Baale Tigers needing 10 runs off the last two balls. Niraj Lotlekar’s boundary off the penultimate delivery reignited hopes, and four byes off the final ball brought the equation down to the barest margin. However, the Titans held their nerve to seal a thrilling one-run victory.

With this win, Priority Titans advance to the grand finale, where they will face RC Goa. Heramb Shankar Parab’s all-round brilliance, including his crucial half-century and two wickets, earned him the Man of the Match award.

RC Goa Enter Final; Priority Titans Survive Super Over Thriller in PGM L 5.0


RC Goa stormed into the final of the PGM L 5.0 Cricket Tournament organised by Panjim Gymkhana after defeating Baale Tigers by four wickets in Qualifier 1 at the Panaji Gymkhana ground in Campal. The much-anticipated final will be played on February 22.

In the morning clash between table-toppers RC Goa and second-placed Baale Tigers, RC Goa won the toss and elected to bowl in what turned out to be a low-scoring contest. Baale Tigers were bowled out for 117 runs in 19.5 overs, with Samar Dubhashi top-scoring with 33 runs, Lakshay Garg adding 27, and Dhiraj Fadte contributing 20. Ramnath Gaonkar was the standout performer with the ball, delivering a fiery spell of 4 for 17, while Gauresh Khandepakar and Nakul Mhamal chipped in with a wicket each.

Chasing 118 for victory, RC Goa faced early setbacks and were reduced to 59 for 4 in 12 overs. Ramnath Gaonkar once again made an impact, scoring 27 crucial runs. After his dismissal, RC Goa found themselves in trouble at 87 for 6. However, Gauresh Khandepakar rose to the occasion with a blistering unbeaten 24 off just 8 balls, including three sixes and a four, steering the team home in 19 overs with one over to spare.

In the Eliminator, Priority Titans defeated Manas Mavericks in a thrilling Super Over encounter. Batting first, Priority Titans piled up 199 for 5 in 20 overs, with Adeep Miskin scoring a quickfire 50 off 28 balls and Rijul Pathak adding 38. In response, Manas Mavericks matched the total at 199 for 9, thanks to half-centuries from Avishkar Mone and vital contributions from Sairaj Dhond and Pranav Biche, pushing the contest into a Super Over.

The Super Over drama saw Manas Mavericks lose both wickets without scoring a run. Priority Titans required just one run to win and secured victory off the very first ball, booking their place in Qualifier 2 against Baale Tigers. With high-intensity matches and dramatic finishes, the tournament at Panaji Gymkhana continues to deliver thrilling cricket action as the race to the title intensifies.

Priority Titans, Sherwin Shaw Falcons Register Convincing Wins in PGML 5.0

The PGML 5.0 League matches played at the Panjim Gymkhana ground on Saturday delivered a mix of closely contested and one-sided encounters, keeping cricket fans engaged throughout the day.


In the morning fixture, Priority Titans edged past Manas Mavericks by three wickets in a thrilling contest. Opting to bat first, Manas Mavericks put up a competitive total of 154 for six in their 20 overs. Avishkar Mone led the charge with an aggressive 44, supported by Vijay Nagarajan’s 34 and an unbeaten 19 from Pranav Biche. For the Titans, Kiran Shirwaikar spearheaded the bowling attack with two wickets, applying pressure through disciplined spells.

In reply, Priority Titans recovered from an early wobble through a composed innings from Heramb Shankar Parab, who top-scored with a match-winning 54. Valuable contributions from Kiran Shirwaikar (23), Atharva (22) and Akshay Badami (21) ensured the chase stayed on track. The Titans reached the target in 18.4 overs, finishing at 155 for seven. Despite a standout bowling effort from Om Fadte, who claimed four wickets for 28 runs, Parab was named Player of the Match for his decisive knock.

The afternoon match saw Sherwin Shaw Falcons produce a dominant all-round performance against RC Goa. Batting first, RC Goa struggled to build momentum and were restricted to 125 for nine in their 20 overs. Aryan Mashelkar (38) and Paras Naik (34) offered some resistance, but consistent strikes from the Falcons’ bowlers kept the scoring in check. Sazu Naik led the attack with three wickets, while Tunish Sawkar and Naresh Parsekar chipped in with two wickets each.

Chasing a modest target, Sherwin Shaw Falcons made light work of the task. Prajyot Rivonker scored a fluent 40, Gourav Desai added 37, and Tunish Sawkar remained unbeaten on 31 as the Falcons completed the chase in just 11.1 overs. Sawkar’s all-round contribution earned him the Player of the Match award.

The results further intensified competition in the PGML 5.0 League, with teams showcasing both resilience and dominance as the tournament progresses.

Priority Titans Register Thrilling Three-Run Win Over K K Strikers


Priority Titans registered a dramatic three-run victory over K K Strikers in a gripping league encounter of the GSB Unity Cup 3.0, organised by the Goa GSB Sports and Charitable Trust, at the MCC Ground, Margao. The match unfolded as a closely contested affair, keeping players and spectators engaged until the final ball.

After winning the toss, Priority Titans opted to bat first and posted a challenging total of 181 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Mihir Kundaikar played a composed and responsible innings, remaining unbeaten on 46 off 35 deliveries. He found able support from Anish Mahambre, who struck a quick 37 off just 17 balls, and Durgesh Prabhu Gaonkar, whose aggressive 34 off 17 balls provided early momentum. For K K Strikers, skipper Nikit Naik Dalal led the bowling attack admirably, finishing with impressive figures of 4 wickets for 21 runs.

In response, K K Strikers began their chase under pressure and found themselves struggling at 65 for 5 in 9.3 overs. However, Nikit Naik Dalal once again stepped up, playing a blistering knock of 53 off 32 balls, while Ramnath Prabhu Bam added a valuable 39 to revive hopes of a turnaround. Despite the late surge, Priority Titans maintained their composure in the closing overs, with disciplined bowling restricting the Strikers to 178 for 8 in 20 overs.

Animesh Prabhu Gaonkar and captain Yash Prabhugaonkar played key roles with the ball, picking up two wickets each to ensure the narrow victory. Animesh Prabhu Gaonkar was adjudged Man of the Match, while Mihir Kundaikar received the Hero of the Match award. The honours were presented by chief guests SP Rajendra Prabhudesai and Ved Mahambre.

RC Goa, Priority Titans Register Victories in PGML 5.0

Panaji: RC Goa and Priority Titans continued their strong run in the Panaji Gymkhana–organised PGML 5.0 tournament, registering convincing victories on Saturday at the Panaji Gymkhana ground, Campal.



In the first match of the day, RC Goa defeated Sun Estate Warriors by 54 runs. Batting first after Sun Estate won the toss and elected to bowl, RC Goa posted a formidable total of 199 for 7 in 20 overs. Openers Sachin Sardessai (35) and Megh Netravalkar (45) gave the innings a solid start with an 82-run partnership. The middle order sustained the momentum, with Vardhan Prabhu Misquin contributing 38, skipper Rajshekhar Harikant adding 34, and Gauresh Khandeparkar scoring a quick 26. Dhilan Shah was the most successful bowler for Sun Estate Warriors, finishing with figures of 2 for 28.

Chasing a stiff target, Sun Estate Warriors struggled to build partnerships and were restricted to 145 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs. Sahish Mahambrey top-scored with 40, but the chase faltered as Rajshekhar Harikant led from the front with the ball, returning impressive figures of 3 for 24. RC Goa thus sealed a comfortable 54-run victory.

The second match witnessed a closely contested encounter, with Priority Titans edging out Desserts N More Avengers by 16 runs. Priority Titans, batting first, posted 166 for 5 in 20 overs, anchored by an opening stand of 92 runs between Jaipal Mada (46) and Adeep Prabhu Miskin (37). Heramb Shankar Parab provided a late flourish with an unbeaten 23. For the Avengers, Ojas claimed 2 for 24.

In reply, Desserts N More Avengers got off to a promising start, with opener Ojas scoring a fluent 55 off 36 balls and Nityay Kunkolienkar adding 37. At one stage well placed at 94 for 1, the Avengers suffered a sudden collapse and were bowled out for 150 in 18.3 overs, handing Priority Titans a hard-fought victory.

Rajshekhar Harikant and Adeep Prabhu Miskin were adjudged Man of the Match in their respective fixtures for their all-round performances.
