In a major step towards digital empowerment and inclusive education, 232 meritorious students from SC and ST communities in Goa were awarded laptops under the Free Laptop Distribution Scheme by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, for academic years 2023–24 and 2024–25.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant reaffirmed the government’s commitment to "Viksit Goa 2037" during a high-level roundtable on “Reimagining Goa@2037,” hosted by GCCI and Chase Advisors. Emphasising digital transformation and sustainable tourism, he revealed that over 240 government services are already digitised, with more to come—positioning Goa as a leader in smart, inclusive development.
The 14th edition of the Goa Marathi Film Festival (GMFF) will light up INOX and Maquinez Palace in Panaji on August 9–10, 2025, with over 15 critically acclaimed and unreleased Marathi films. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is expected to be the chief guest, and Goan short films will also feature prominently.
