The students of PM SHRI GHS Morpirla took a bold step into the future with ideas powered by creativity, innovation, and a deep-rooted sense of patriotism. Participating in the nationwide Viksit Bharat Buildathon, launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, they prepared a series of impressive projects and prototypes.

The themes—Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi, Local for Local, and Samriddh Bharat—were brought to life through working models, thoughtful solutions, and impactful ideas. The buildathon served as a platform for students to channel their curiosity into real-world innovations that support India’s growth journey.

More than just a competition, the event was a celebration of India’s young thinkers and doers—students who understand the importance of self-reliance and are ready to shape a Viksit Bharat with their own hands.

In a heartfelt celebration, the students of PM SHRI GHS Morpirla marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday in a uniquely meaningful way. Demonstrating unity, creativity, and respect, they formed the number “75” using their own bodies—symbolizing both the PM’s age and India’s enduring spirit. Alongside this formation, they created beautifully crafted greeting cards, pouring their thoughts and wishes into colorful expressions of gratitude and appreciation for the Prime Minister.

But the event was more than just a celebration. It was a moment of commitment and awareness. As part of the nationwide Seva Pakhwada initiative running from September 17 to October 2, the students took both a physical and digital pledge to work toward a cleaner, greener India. They vowed to minimize waste, avoid the use of single-use plastics, and inspire their communities to participate in cleanliness efforts.

What made their pledge stand out was their focus on combining action with innovation—emphasizing the role of technology in spreading awareness and making environmental change accessible. With both hands and technology, the students aim to lead by example and encourage others to join in creating a sustainable future.

Morpirla, Goa | July 12, 2025: In a heartfelt celebration of World Paper Bag Day, the students of PM SHRI GHS Morpirla came together to promote a crucial environmental message — “Say No to Plastic, Yes to Paper Bags.” With rising concerns over climate change, global warming, and the devastating impact of plastic pollution, their initiative stood as a beacon of hope and action.

In a vibrant school-wide activity, students handcrafted paper bags and chanted eco-conscious slogans, calling attention to the growing need for sustainable alternatives to plastic. The activity was more than a creative workshop — it was a powerful tool of awareness and education.

Plastic waste, one of the leading contributors to environmental degradation, harms wildlife, pollutes our oceans and landscapes, and takes centuries to decompose. Recognising this, the young changemakers of PM SHRI GHS Morpirla took it upon themselves to advocate for sustainable living and environmentally responsible behavior.

The initiative was supported by teachers and staff, who joined the students in promoting the use of biodegradable alternatives. By engaging in such hands-on and purposeful activities, the school is fostering environmental consciousness from a young age.

“This is not just about making paper bags,” said one of the participating teachers. “It’s about shaping mindsets, instilling values, and making sure our students understand the real impact of everyday choices.”

The event underscored the school’s commitment to environmental education and grassroots action, showing that even small efforts at the local level can inspire meaningful change.
