The students of PM SHRI Government High School Morpirla had an engaging and energetic experience during the live screening of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 (PPC 2026) held on the school campus. The event began on a high note with the PPC anthem, as students danced enthusiastically and set a vibrant tone for the programme.


During the interaction, students listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiring address, where he shared practical tips on approaching examinations with confidence, clarity, and calmness. He stressed the importance of maintaining a balance between academics, skill development, and personal interests for overall growth.

The Prime Minister encouraged students to dream big, make learning collaborative, manage time effectively, focus on skills rather than marks, move out of their comfort zones, stay stress-free, and adopt a healthy lifestyle. His message resonated strongly with students, offering reassurance and motivation during the examination season.

Headmistress Maria Murena Miranda and student Nandini Velip, who had attended Pariksha Pe Charcha in New Delhi last year, shared their experiences with the students, making the session more relatable and inspiring.

Overall, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 proved to be a memorable and enriching experience for both students and teachers. The students expressed enthusiasm about applying the lessons and values shared during the programme in their academic and personal lives.

World Wetlands Day Celebrated at PM SHRI GHS Morpirla

PM SHRI GHS Morpirla celebrated World Wetlands Day with a series of activities aimed at creating awareness about the conservation and management of wetlands. As part of the programme, the school launched the Save Wetlands Campaign, highlighting the role wetlands play in protecting biodiversity and supporting ecosystems.


Students and teachers took the Wetland Mitra pledge, committing themselves to protect and preserve wetlands. To gain practical understanding, participants also visited a nearby wetland, where they learned about its ecological importance and the need for sustainable management.

The celebration included creative activities such as a poster competition, along with dance and singing performances, allowing students to express their understanding of wetlands in engaging ways. During the programme, students were also informed about 10 newly declared wetlands in Goa, helping them connect local environmental efforts with global conservation goals.

The event helped students better understand the importance of wetlands and encouraged them to take responsibility for protecting these vital natural resources.

PM Shri GHS Morpirla Marks National Girl Child Day with Focus on Education, Digital Literacy and Empowerment

Moripirla, January 2026: PM Shri Government High School Morpirla celebrated National Girl Child Day with the theme “Empowering Girls for a Sustainable Future”, highlighting the importance of gender equality, education, health and safety for girls.


Addressing students on the occasion, Headmistress Maria Murena Miranda stressed the significance of health and nutrition for the girl child. She also spoke about the need to strengthen digital literacy among girls through initiatives such as Beti Padhao, Digital Banao, aimed at enhancing digital skills and empowering young girls in an increasingly technology-driven world.

The Headmistress further highlighted the importance of safety and legal awareness, encouraging students to be informed, confident and aware of their rights.

As part of the celebrations, girls who excelled in poster-making, essay writing and sports were felicitated, recognising their achievements and motivating them to pursue excellence in academics and extracurricular activities.

The programme reinforced the school’s commitment to nurturing confident, educated and empowered girls as key contributors to a sustainable future.

World Ozone Day Celebrated at PM SHRI GHS Morpirla with Creative Climate Action Activities


PM SHRI GHS Morpirla joined the global observance of World Ozone Day with a meaningful celebration focused on the theme “Advancing Climate Action.” The school organized a series of engaging activities, including headgear making, poetry recitation, and poster competitions that allowed students to creatively express their understanding of ozone protection and environmental sustainability.

Teachers used the occasion to educate students on the critical role of the ozone layer in shielding the Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation. They stressed the importance of eliminating chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), commonly found in cooling systems, which contribute significantly to ozone depletion and global warming.

The celebration also brought attention to the growing challenge of rising global temperatures and the increasing dependency on cooling technologies—creating a feedback loop that worsens climate change. Educators urged students to be mindful of their environmental impact and inspired them to become active participants in climate action.

Through interactive participation and awareness-driven messaging, the event not only commemorated the importance of the ozone layer but also served as a platform to reinforce the urgent need to protect the planet for future generations.

PM Shri GHS Morpirla Celebrates 10th Consecutive Year of 100% SSC Results

Morpirla, Goa – The General Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meeting of PM Shri GHS Morpirla, held on 5th July 2025, became a heartwarming celebration of the school’s tenth consecutive year of 100% SSC results.

The event, originally organized to discuss academic updates and policies, quickly transformed into a celebration of academic excellence, with proud parents applauding the tireless efforts of the Headmistress and the entire teaching staff. The achievement, a decade in the making, was recognized as a result of consistent hard work by students and unwavering dedication by teachers.

The Headmistress addressed the gathering and shared how the PM SHRI Scheme has significantly benefited the school. From improved infrastructure and digital classrooms to access to modern learning tools, the scheme has enhanced the overall teaching-learning environment.

During the meeting, the school counselor spoke about the importance of proactive parenting. She encouraged parents to stay involved in their children’s emotional and mental well-being, not just their academics. She emphasized open communication and attentiveness to help students navigate challenges both in and outside school.

The Headmistress also shared information about scholarships available for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, urging eligible families to apply. She took the opportunity to brief parents about the New Education Policy (NEP) and the introduction of ‘Parakh’, a modern assessment system focused on all-round development, not just rote learning.

This PTA meeting was more than just a discussion—it was a proud reminder of what consistent effort, strong leadership, community support, and national schemes can achieve in even the most rural schools.
