The Department of Chemistry at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, organized an educational visit to the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Vasco-da-Gama, Goa, giving TYBSc students hands-on exposure to India’s leading polar and ocean research facilities and direct interaction with scientists.
Launched by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, India’s Deep Ocean Mission is a bold national initiative aimed at tapping the vast, unexplored resources of the ocean. With the development of the manned submersible MATSYA 6000 under the Samudrayaan Project, the mission is advancing deep-sea technology, sustainable mining, biodiversity conservation, and energy innovation to strengthen India’s Blue Economy.
