Goa is gearing up for a high-speed sporting spectacle as Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant visited the F4 Indian Championship racing site at Manohar International Airport, Mopa, to review preparations and operational readiness ahead of the much-anticipated event scheduled for February 14โ€“15, 2026.

During the visit, the Chief Minister inspected the circuit infrastructure along with government officials and organisers, Racing Promotions Private Limited (RPPL). The review focused on safety measures, logistics, spectator arrangements, and the overall readiness of the venue to host a world-class motorsports event.

Speaking during the inspection, Dr Sawant highlighted that hosting the F4 Indian Championship marks a significant milestone for Goa, positioning the state on the global motorsports map. He emphasised that such international-level events contribute to strengthening Goaโ€™s identity beyond tourism, encouraging sports development and creating new opportunities for local talent.

The Chief Minister also noted that the championship is expected to provide a strong boost to tourism, attract motorsports enthusiasts from across the country, and generate employment opportunities for local communities. Goa Welcomes First Charter Flight from Katowice, Poland for the Season


Panjim, 9th January 2026 โ€“ Goa celebrated a key moment in its international tourism calendar with the arrival of charter flight ENT 1443 from Katowice, Poland, landing at Manohar International Airport (MOPA) at 09:30 hrs on Friday, 9 January 2026.

The flight, carrying 189 passengers, is the first charter arrival from Katowice for the current tourist season and the second charter flight from Poland to the state this year. Passengers received a warm Goan welcome, reflecting the stateโ€™s commitment to hospitality and visitor experience.

Honโ€™ble Minister for Tourism, Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, expressed optimism about the arrival:

The thrice-weekly service will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and will be served by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, offering world-class comfort for long-haul travel.

This route had been temporarily suspended earlier as part of a broader reduction in international flights involving Air Indiaโ€™s Boeing 787 and 777 fleet. The reinstatement signals renewed confidence in market demand and is expected to significantly benefit both tourism and business travel.
