Written by Tanisha Cardozo || Team Allycaral

Maruti Suzuki has officially entered the electric mobility landscape with a comprehensive, nationwide EV ecosystem designed to make charging seamless, accessible, and reliable for customers across India. With the launch of the One India, One EV Charging platform, the company introduces an end-to-end digital solution that integrates home charging, public charging, and a unified payment experience. As part of this transformation, Maruti Suzuki has collaborated with 13 leading Charge Point Operators and aggregators to create a consolidated national network, ensuring a frictionless user experience across all partner-operated charging stations. The company has already established more than 2,000 exclusive Maruti Suzuki charging points across its extensive sales and service network spread over 1,100 cities, making EV ownership more convenient than ever before.

Aligned with Suzukiโ€™s global sustainability vision, Maruti Suzuki aims to enable a nationwide network of over 1,00,000 public charging points by 2030 in partnership with its dealers and CPOs. To demonstrate the strength and readiness of this ecosystem, four e VITARA Born EVs embarked on a unique pan-India โ€˜e drive,โ€™ starting from Gurugram and travelling to Srinagar in the North, Kanyakumari in the South, Dibrugarh in the East, and Bhuj in the West. This symbolic journey reflects the brandโ€™s commitment to building consumer confidence through real-world proof of charging accessibility and range reliability. The e VITARA itself has undergone rigorous testing over more than one crore kilometres in conditions ranging from scorching 60ยฐC heat to freezing โ€“30ยฐC cold, consistently delivering a range of 543 kilometres.

Maruti Suzukiโ€™s nationwide showroom network and over 1,500 service workshops have been upgraded to be EV-ready, supported by a trained workforce of 1.5 lakh professionals equipped to deliver top-notch EV ownership experiences. The company has also launched the โ€˜e for meโ€™ app, enabling customers and prospective buyers to locate charging stations across the national network with ease. By bringing together advanced product development, widespread charging access, and digital integration, Maruti Suzuki is poised to redefine EV ownership in India and strengthen the countryโ€™s journey toward a sustainable mobility future.

Maruti Suzuki Hits Decade-High Festive Demand, Ramps Up Production with Sunday & Holiday Shifts

In an unprecedented surge in demand during the festive season, Maruti Suzuki has announced that its supply chain and production teams will now work on Sundays and public holidays to meet delivery expectations. According to Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki, the company recorded its best Navratri sales in a decade, delivering an astonishing 1.65 lakh vehicles in the first eight days alone.

The strong performance is attributed to a recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) reform, which reduced tax rates on petrol, hybrid, LPG, and CNG vehicles from 28% to 18%, making cars more affordable. The resulting increase in customer sentiment has not only pushed sales but also created a logistical challenge, with over 3.5 lakh bookings reported in the last month and 2.5 lakh units still awaiting delivery.

Banerjee emphasized that while the logistics cycle had begun on September 22, it would take time to stabilize. However, he assured that Maruti Suzuki is fully committed to delivering vehicles to customers by the end of October.

Despite a 6% decline in domestic sales in September, the company saw a 2.7% year-on-year increase in total sales thanks to a massive 52% rise in exports, totaling over 42,000 units. With production ramping up, Maruti Suzuki is aiming to touch the 2 lakh festive delivery mark soon โ€” a significant milestone driven by government policy, market readiness, and evolving customer demand.

This festive season marks a major turning point not only for Maruti Suzuki but for the entire Indian automotive sector, signaling a return to robust growth and renewed consumer confidence.

Maruti Suzuki Victoris: Base LXi Trim Sets New Benchmark in Mid-Size SUV Segment

Maruti Suzuki has taken a bold step in Indiaโ€™s mid-size SUV market with the all-new Victoris, adopting a feature-first strategy that redefines what customers can expect, even in base trims.

Design That Stands Out

The LXi trim doesnโ€™t compromise on looks. While equipped with halogen headlights and basic detailing, Maruti Suzuki ensures a premium touch with:

  • LED taillights
  • 17-inch steel wheels with covers
  • ORVM-integrated turn indicators
  • Rear spoiler & silver skid plates

These features are usually reserved for higher trims, but Victoris brings them to the entry-level buyer.

Comfort & Convenience Elevated

Inside, the Victoris LXi gets a dual-tone black & off-white theme, silver accents, piano black inserts, and adjustable headrests across all seats. Buyers also enjoy:

  • Push start/stop button with keyless entry
  • Automatic climate control + rear AC vents
  • 60:40 split-folding rear seats
  • Front & rear armrests (with cupholders & storage)
  • Semi-digital instrument cluster with coloured MID
  • 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
  • OTA updates & voice assistant
  • Steering-mounted audio/call controls

Clearly, Maruti Suzuki has prioritised everyday usability and a premium in-cabin experience.

Safety Without Compromise

Where the Victoris truly sets itself apart is in its safety-first approach, even in the LXi trim. Standard features include:

  • Six airbags
  • Electronic Stability Programme (ESP)
  • Traction Control System
  • Hill-hold assist
  • ABS with EBD & Brake Assist
  • Rear parking sensors & rear defogger
  • ISOFIX child seat mounts
  • Tyre repair kit

This makes Victoris one of the most safety-equipped SUVs in its segment right from the entry-level model.

A Fresh Strategy from Maruti Suzuki

With the Victoris, Maruti Suzuki Arena is clearly changing gears. By offering premium design, tech, and safety features in its base variant, the automaker is addressing customer demand for value-packed ownership without forcing buyers to climb the trim ladder.

The Victoris doesnโ€™t just promise mobility โ€” it delivers confidence, comfort, and class even at the starting line.
