The Indian Tong-Il Moo-Do team delivered an outstanding performance at the 12th Mombasa Open Tong-Il Moo-Do International Martial Arts Championship 2025, held in Kenya. Leading the charge were Erica De Sequeira and Giovanna De Sequeira, whose exceptional skills helped India clinch four gold and one bronze medal.

From the very first day, Indiaโ€™s athletes made a strong impact. Erica De Sequeira emerged as a top performer, winning gold medals in Sparring, Special Techniques, and Individual Bon. Giovanna De Sequeira added to the tally with a gold in Sparring and a bronze in Individual Bon.

Head Coach Raunak Singh, one of Indiaโ€™s earliest representatives of Tong-Il Moo-Do, praised the team for their dedication and excellence. He also lauded Kenya for its warm hospitality and professional event management. The championship, conducted under the Tankel Motu International Alliance, provided an important platform to promote global standards in Tong-Il Moo-Do while fostering international unity through martial arts.

CKB Martial Art Academy recorded a moment of immense pride at the Khelo India Kickboxing Championship held in Mapusa, Peddem, as all 11 girls representing the academy achieved a 100% medal-winning result. Competing with determination and discipline, the young athletes brought home a mix of gold, silver, and bronze medals, reflecting months of dedicated training and perseverance.

The champions who delivered this outstanding performance include Ahd Mulla, Ainsley Dsouza, Afifa Mulla, Sejal Parsekar, Saanchi Chavan, Aarohy Kamble, Atifa Mulla, Zoya Dori, Pranjal Kamble, Raashi Kamble, and Inaya Mulla. Goa Judokas Excel at National Black Belt and NDIC Examination

The Goa Judo Association has proudly announced the success of its judokas at the recently conducted National Black Belt and NDIC Examination at Peddem, organized by the Judo Federation of India.

A host of athletes from the state earned prestigious ranks across multiple levels. The Shodan (1st Dan) category saw the success of Masoom Alauddin, Riya Gaude, Malissa Dsouza, Riyansha Naik, Neha Sawant, Saiprasad Naik, Rajdeep Dessai, Mayur Kolekar, Harshit Sadhya, Nippu Yadav, Mahindra Singh, and Nilofer Javali.

In the Nidan (2nd Dan) category, Shaman Prabhu, Dinesh Kumar Prasad, and Vinayak Dessai were declared successful, while Jaya Patil and Vishant Alekar excelled in the Sandan (3rd Dan) category. Kripesh Vengurlekar achieved the prestigious Yondan (4th Dan) rank.

The National Diploma in Coaching (NDIC) was earned by Vishant Alekar, Arjun Kadam, and Kripesh Vengurlekar, further highlighting the depth of talent within the state.

The successful judokas were felicitated in the presence of Mr. Gurudutta Bhakta, Secretary of the Goa Olympic Association and former President of the Goa Judo Association; Mr. Kripesh Vengurlekar, General Secretary of the Goa Judo Association; and Mr. Rupesh Kalangutkar, Executive Committee Member.

The Goa Judo Association applauded the dedication and efforts of all participants and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing and promoting judo talent in Goa, aiming to strengthen the stateโ€™s presence in national and international arenas.
