Panjim’s Mangrove Board Walk

Allys!! Good Morning my lovelies! It’s Friday – the best-est time of the week as I get to feature a place of my choice on my blog. Yes it is the best-est feeling to explore new places and then feature the same on the blog…! and You know what makes it special, your mails, your replies about how much you’ll love my work.

In this edition, I recently visited a place accidentally, it wasn’t a part of a plan as such but yes! I visited this place and I must say it is a really beautiful location. Upon interacting to the people and the guards, I got to learn that this place is open for the general public and it is recently inaugurated. However, not many people are aware about this place. This place is called the #MangroveBoardWalk

Picture clicked by a friend and Edited by be!

You know what fascinated me the most about this place was, the entire footbridge is built without cutting the natural mangroves, which makes it so rich and gives you a feeling of one with the nature. If one takes a closer look at the history, well the relationship that the Mangroves and Goa share is special. Well, now you will have a question why exactly they both share a special relationship. The answer is very simple. Goa is a house to about 16 different kind of mangroves and in our country, Goa is the state that has the best mangroves in the whole of India. So You will now agree about this special relationship.ย  The very concept of having a Board Walk in this place, not only serves as a tourist spot but also it is the very ideaย  that needs to be appreciated that this Board Walk was built without cutting down mangroves- In true sense – a step to preserve the identity of mangroves and appreciate the beauty that it brings to the state of Goa. Thus, this initiative makes this even special.

The place recently inaugurated is not known to many people. But hey! let’s not forget the publicity that no other medium can do, can be heavily done by social media. And when I visit a place, I at least make it a point to tell my one friend about it and ask my that friend to share the news about the same to another and the chain continues. Well, another plus point that I have is this blog – Which instantly connects to so many of you all.

Exploring this place happened all of a sudden as I told you! The story goes like this – we were hunting for a location to shoot a sequence for a feature programme and well, there you go! Here’s the link –ย PARSEKAR … ONE MAN – MANY DREAMSย where I shot my bit for this video.

HOW TO GET HERE?

Just take the road heading towards Central Library, Panjim and Enter the parking side and keep walking till you see towards your left hand side the entrance of this beautiful Mangroves Footbridge.

TIPS OF THE DAY

  • If you are visiting this place, use a mosquito repellent cream to avoid mosquito bites.
  • While you click pictures be careful – try to avoid clicking pictures leaning on the bridge handrail.

This is once again another place one could visit if you are in the capital city of Goa – Panjim, Explore the true beauty and most importantly share photos using the hashtag ofย #MangroveBoardWalk,ย #TravelwithAllycaral or #BeingAllycaral on any social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or BlogLovin. Do Like, Comment and Share. It’s my favorite – M S Dhoni’s Birthday Week! Tomorrow is his birthday – 7th July! (I know that was out of context) Anyways, have an amazingly fantastic Weekend! Cheers to good times!

How to Pack for a Weekend Trip?

Weekend Trip… As soon as theย news breaks of a weekend trip, well you tend to plan all sorts of things, what it take, what not to take. What you will require, what you will not.! But hell, one of the biggest mistake atleast girls that is we do is that we tend to overpack like a lot of things, like seriously like a lot of things.

However, best ways to pack for the weekend trip would be to stick to basics and at the same time to look daunting!

Selecting the Right Bag – First of all, Chuck Suitcase out of this Trip! Remember, this is a weekend Trip, so select a small backup that will be able to carry your essentials in it!

What’s On Your Travel Itinerary? – Whenever you pack, consider the itinerary that will help you pack for the trip the best. Suppose you are going for an adventure trip like that of trekking, swimming, taking heels wouldn’t serve the purpose at all. So avoid taking them!

Selective Clothes Only – Try to take selecting clothes only. You could take a couple of shorts or troussers and the same could be mixed matched with the t-shirts, try to include bright colors in your wadrobe also whites and blacks look great!ย  But pack only clothes if you are going to wear them, be true to yourself.

Have a Final Look – Here you can take a final look and deduct unneccesary clothing, systematically packing clothes will help you to wear them directly without having to iron them again. Also, remember when you plan to go for trips like these, wear always the heaviest shoe rather than packing them. This saves the pain of carrying them on your back.

To end with, remember pack only essentials. If there is space in your bag pack, great! you could pick a souvenir for yourself and for me too!

So it is tuesday now, you could plan a quick trip this weekend and at the same time go through these tips! Do Like and Share Your Feedback. Happy Weekend Travelling!

Where is the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world?

Duomo, Milan Cathedral

Hello my wonderful Allys,

Welcome to another Being Allycaral Friday feature post. And here I am all geared up to bring before you this weekโ€™s special. Well, a couple of days back I had a random thought of conducting #BeingAllycaralSaturdaypoll. And since then, Every Saturdays, all I do is ask one question to which I tend to get know your preferences, likes and dislikes. Thus, when I was going through the same, I thought of why not linking my Saturday Poll Results to A Friday Feature. And Because of that here I am with the results of my previous poll in which most of you preferred Milan over California.

So here it is presenting to you the Global Fashion Capital of the World, which is the house to the largest Gothic Cathedral, Milan. A beautiful city in Italy and the second most popular one after Rome. The same is a growing hub for elegance and sophistication. The structures in this place have an impressive skill with an artistic touch with a future model making it distinctive from the rest.

A closer view of the Statues on the Spires

One of the top places to visit in Milan is Duomo. Yes, this is situated in the heart of Milan one of the most beautiful cathedrals which perfectly manifests the creativity and aspiration of the City.

As mentioned earlier too it is the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world with a vision in pink cadoglia marble. It’s pearly white facade with 135 spires and statues on the spires makes it look even more beautiful. The most beautiful feature of this Cathedral is that it has over 3400 statues on the external spires adding the icing to the cake of this extravagant Gothic Cathedral.

The work of the same began in the year 1386 by Mr.ย Giangaleazzo Visconti who’s original design was almost unfeasible at that time. The same took over 600 years to complete this gigantic structure. After looking at the initial design, several people were not keen to even give the structure a try.ย  The slow construction was another reason to doubt whether the same would be a success or no. But in the 19th century much of the church ornaments were brought giving it a Neo – Gothic look. Further, enhancing the beauty with final touches in 1960s.

As beautiful is the exterior of this church,ย  the interior too is extravagant. It has the largest stained glass windows in Christendom while in the crypt saintly Carlo Borromeo is interred in a rock-crystal casket. The church is open for visitors from 8am to 7pm and the roof terraces of the structure is open from morning 9am โ€“ 7pm. The same can be visited internally true city guided tours in small private groups only.

Well, Don’t forget to like, comment and share this post, also if you have clicked any pictures in this beautiful place share it on your social networking using the hashtag, #TravelBeingAllycaral

Tips of the day

In order to visit the place, try to be at the church entrance by 7:30am, because the place is visited by several people every single day. And there are huge queue which stand almost till afternoon to get into the church, so if you want to get into the church make sure you stick to the schedule and by 8am to visit the same.
