Two of Goa Police’s finest — DySP Vishwesh Karpe and PI Laxi Amonkar — have been awarded the ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’, a prestigious national recognition for professional excellence. DySP Karpe was recognised in the Investigation category for his leadership in solving a sensational murder case under Calangute Police Station, while PI Amonkar received the honour in the Intelligence field for his crucial role in a major NDPS raid that led to the seizure of narcotic drugs worth ₹43 crores. Their commitment and integrity continue to reflect the highest standards of the Goa Police force.

The Department of Telecommunication (DoT), Ministry of Communications, Government of India, organized the annual Zonal Security Conference for the West Zone at Cavelossim, South Goa on 3rd September 2025. Themed “Sashakt Sanchar, Abhinav Suraksha”, the event focused on strengthening telecom security and addressing emerging cyber threats. Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary (Telecom), emphasized citizen participation in telecom fraud prevention and highlighted the role of the Sanchar Saathi portal in empowering users. Over 100 representatives from central law enforcement agencies, LSAs, financial institutions, and telecom providers attended.
