"Ancessao", a Konkani short film by emerging Goan filmmaker Manguirish J. Bandodkar, has been officially selected for the prestigious International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) Toronto 2025. This recognition marks a significant milestone for Konkani cinema on the global stage.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has announced the Goa State Film Festival 2025, set to take place from August 14–17 in Panaji. Celebrating 75 years of Goan cinema, the festival will feature the 10th, 11th, and 12th editions of the competition, showcasing Konkani and Marathi films. With film screenings, workshops, knowledge sessions, and a short film contest, the event promises to be a landmark cultural celebration.
