JCI Vasco Distributes Free Water to 1000+ During Carnival


In a thoughtful gesture of community service, JCI Vasco successfully organised the “UDAK – Free Water Distribution” initiative during the carnival celebrations held in Vasco da Gama on February 16, 2026. The initiative aimed to support parade goers and participants by helping them stay hydrated amid the intense heat.

    With large crowds gathering to witness and take part in the vibrant carnival festivities, the need for hydration became essential. Recognising this, members and volunteers of JCI Vasco stepped forward with dedication, distributing water bottles and assisting attendees throughout the event.

    The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from volunteers, who worked tirelessly under the sun to ensure that people remained refreshed and comfortable. Their efforts not only provided relief but also reflected a strong spirit of community care and responsibility.

    The response from the public was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the timely support. The initiative successfully benefited over 1000 individuals, making it a meaningful contribution to the celebrations.

    Through “UDAK,” JCI Vasco once again demonstrated the impact of small yet significant actions in enhancing public well-being, especially during large-scale events like Goa’s carnival.

    JCI Vasco Distributes Books to Students in Memory of Adv. TT Shreedharan


    JCI Vasco marked the birth anniversary of its Past President, Adv. TT Shreedharan, with a meaningful book distribution drive at Manohar Parrikar Municipal High School in Vasco. The initiative was organised as a tribute to his legacy and his commitment to community service and youth development.

    As part of the programme, 50 students from Classes 9 and 10 received copies of the widely acclaimed self-development book How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. The selection of the book reflected the organisation’s aim to encourage personal growth, confidence, and effective communication among young learners.

    The event was attended by Mrs. Loretta Shreedharan, who addressed the students and spoke about the importance of cultivating a strong reading habit. She encouraged them to use books as tools for self-improvement and to continuously strive to become better versions of themselves.

    Her interaction with the students highlighted the role of reading in shaping character, improving communication skills, and building confidence—qualities that are essential for success in both academic and personal life.

    The initiative served as a fitting tribute to Adv. TT Shreedharan’s legacy, reflecting his dedication to education, social responsibility, and the empowerment of youth.     JCI Vasco Organises Blood Donation Camp at St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim


    A Blood Donation Camp was organised by JCI Vasco in collaboration with GMC Blood Bank, St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim, the Red Ribbon Club, and the Microbiology Faculty on 5th February 2026 at the college premises. The initiative aimed to create awareness about voluntary blood donation and encourage students and staff to actively contribute towards saving lives.

    The camp received an encouraging response, with 31 donors registering for the initiative. After medical screening, 20 units of blood were successfully collected, reinforcing the impact of community participation in addressing critical healthcare needs.

    With the dedicated support of the organising team, medical professionals from GMC Blood Bank, faculty members, and student volunteers, the event was conducted smoothly and efficiently. Beyond blood collection, the camp also served as an awareness drive, highlighting how a small act of donation can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

    The initiative reflected JCI Vasco’s continued commitment to social responsibility and community welfare, inspiring young individuals to step forward and participate in life-saving causes.

    JCI Vasco, in collaboration with the GMC Blood Bank and St. Joseph Vaz College, Cortalim, is organising a Blood Donation Camp on 5th February 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the college premises. The initiative is aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation while spreading awareness about the critical role blood donors play in saving lives.

    Blood donation remains one of the simplest yet most impactful ways to contribute to society, and initiatives like this help bridge the gap between demand and availability. By bringing together students, staff, and members of the local community, the organisers hope to inspire a culture of compassion, responsibility, and service.

    JCI Vasco continues to play an active role in community-driven initiatives that focus on health, awareness, and social well-being.
