JCI Mapusa Leads Cleanup Drive at Shree Bodgeshwar Temple Ground

JCI Mapusa, in collaboration with the Mapusa Municipal Council, Responsible Earth Foundation and YIMBY, organised a cleanup drive on January 16, 2026, at the Shree Bodgeshwar Temple Ground in Mapusa. The initiative began early at 7 am and aimed at promoting cleanliness, environmental responsibility and community participation.

A total of 20 members actively took part in the drive, demonstrating strong volunteer spirit and civic engagement. During the cleanup activity, more than 20 bags of dry waste were collected from the area, contributing to a cleaner and safer public space for residents and visitors.

The drive formed part of JCI Mapusa’s ongoing efforts to encourage sustainable practices and raise awareness about waste management at the grassroots level. Volunteers worked together to segregate and collect dry waste, reinforcing the message that collective action plays a vital role in protecting the environment.

Organisers expressed satisfaction with the enthusiastic participation and support received from all collaborating organisations. The cleanup drive not only helped restore cleanliness at the temple ground but also served as a reminder of the shared responsibility citizens have towards maintaining public spaces and safeguarding the environment.

JC Dakshika Dhavjekar Clinches 1st Place for the Third Consecutive Year at MID CON Flag Painting Competition


Mapusa, Goa | June 2025 – An inspiring display of talent, consistency, and dedication has once again brought pride to JCI Mapusa, as JC Dakshika Dhavjekar secured 1st place for the third consecutive year in the Flag Painting Competition at the MID CON JCI India Zone XI conference. The competition was held at Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College, Virnoda, and was proudly hosted by JCI Sanguem.

Achieving first place in a competitive platform once is impressive—but three consecutive wins speak volumes about Dakshika’s creativity, focus, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Her artwork stood out among many talented participants from across the zone, reflecting her deep respect for the national flag and a unique artistic flair that resonated with the judges.

The Flag Painting Competition is a regular highlight of the MID CON (Mid-Year Conference), promoting patriotism, national pride, and artistic expression among JCI members. Dakshika’s paintings have consistently celebrated these values through visually powerful and creatively rendered tributes to the Indian Tricolour.

In a dazzling celebration of creativity, culture, and competitive spirit, JCI Mapusa emerged victorious at the JCI India Zone XI MID CON 2025, clinching the championship title for their outstanding performance in ‘Natrang: An Essence of Art and Passion’. The prestigious event was hosted by JCI Sanguem on June 22, 2025, at Sant Sohirobanath Government College, Virnoda, and brought together Junior Chamber International (JCI) chapters from across the zone.

‘Natrang’, a cultural showcase themed around the essence of art and passion, served as the perfect canvas for participants to express their talent through dance, drama, music, and visual art. JCI Mapusa stood out with their exceptional creativity, coordination, and presentation, captivating both judges and audiences alike.

From soulful performances to energetic expressions of heritage, the competition witnessed an incredible display of skill and teamwork. The event celebrated not just performance arts, but the dedication, leadership, and community spirit that define JCI’s mission to develop young active citizens.
