Hello my wonderful Allys,
Welcome to another Being Allycaral Friday feature post. And here I am all geared up to bring before you this week’s special. Well, a couple of days back I had a random thought of conducting #BeingAllycaralSaturdaypoll. And since then, Every Saturdays, all I do is ask one question to which I tend to get know your preferences, likes and dislikes. Thus, when I was going through the same, I thought of why not linking my Saturday Poll Results to A Friday Feature. And Because of that here I am with the results of my previous poll in which most of you preferred Milan over California.
So here it is presenting to you the Global Fashion Capital of the World, which is the house to the largest Gothic Cathedral, Milan. A beautiful city in Italy and the second most popular one after Rome. The same is a growing hub for elegance and sophistication. The structures in this place have an impressive skill with an artistic touch with a future model making it distinctive from the rest.

One of the top places to visit in Milan is Duomo. Yes, this is situated in the heart of Milan one of the most beautiful cathedrals which perfectly manifests the creativity and aspiration of the City.
As mentioned earlier too it is the largest Gothic Cathedral in the world with a vision in pink cadoglia marble. It’s pearly white facade with 135 spires and statues on the spires makes it look even more beautiful. The most beautiful feature of this Cathedral is that it has over 3400 statues on the external spires adding the icing to the cake of this extravagant Gothic Cathedral.
The work of the same began in the year 1386 by Mr. Giangaleazzo Visconti who’s original design was almost unfeasible at that time. The same took over 600 years to complete this gigantic structure. After looking at the initial design, several people were not keen to even give the structure a try. The slow construction was another reason to doubt whether the same would be a success or no. But in the 19th century much of the church ornaments were brought giving it a Neo – Gothic look. Further, enhancing the beauty with final touches in 1960s.
As beautiful is the exterior of this church, the interior too is extravagant. It has the largest stained glass windows in Christendom while in the crypt saintly Carlo Borromeo is interred in a rock-crystal casket. The church is open for visitors from 8am to 7pm and the roof terraces of the structure is open from morning 9am – 7pm. The same can be visited internally true city guided tours in small private groups only.
Well, Don’t forget to like, comment and share this post, also if you have clicked any pictures in this beautiful place share it on your social networking using the hashtag, #TravelBeingAllycaral
