The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) is set to make history with the launch of its first international campus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September this year. This milestone announcement was made by IIMA Director, Professor Bharat Bhasker, during the institute’s 60th convocation ceremony, held at the iconic Louis Kahn Plaza in Ahmedabad.
A New Chapter in Global Management Education
The Dubai campus marks a significant expansion of IIMA’s global footprint, underscoring the institute’s commitment to providing world-class management education to a diverse range of students. With this new campus, IIMA aims to cater to the growing demand for management professionals in the Middle East and beyond.
Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence: A New Era in Case Method Learning
In addition to the Dubai campus announcement, Professor Bhasker also revealed plans for the establishment of a new ‘Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence in Case Method of Learning’. This center, backed by prominent industrialist and IIMA alumnus Madan Mohanka (PGP 1967), will focus on promoting the case method of learning, a pedagogical approach that has been a hallmark of IIMA’s teaching philosophy.

The 60th convocation ceremony was a momentous occasion, celebrating six decades of IIMA’s excellence in management education.
