18th edition of Film Bazaar kicks off at IFFI, Goa

The 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) today witnessed the vibrant launch of 18th edition of Film Bazaar, South Asia’s premier film market. A significant segment of IFFI, Film Bazaar promises a dynamic platform for aspiring filmmakers and established industry professionals to connect, collaborate, and propel the future of cinema.

Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, while inaugurating Film Bazaar at IFFI, highlighted the record-breaking number of registrations (over 1500) and the presence of more than 10 country-specific pavilions. “This is an exceptional platform to nurture future filmmakers. From presenting ideas to securing deals, Film Bazaar fosters productive interactions across all levels of the industry,” he remarked.

He further elaborated on IFFI’s commitment to fostering young talent. “This year’s Creative Minds Of Tomorrow (CMOT) program, a beacon for discovering and nurturing India’s brightest young talents in filmmaking boasts of a significant expansion, welcoming 100 promising individuals”, he added.

Gracing the occasion, Shekhar Kapur, Festival Director of 55th IFFI described Film Bazaar as an interesting platform where young filmmakers present their ideas and creations with passion. “Film Bazaar pulsates with the energy of young filmmakers showcasing their work with immense passion. I truly want to be here and feel that passion”, remarked the renowned filmmaker.

Vrunda Manohar Desai, Joint Secretary (Films), Ministry of I&B, unveiled details of the Co-Production Market, featuring 21 feature films and 8 web series from seven countries. Highlighting the Viewing Room, a vital resource for filmmakers seeking distribution and funding, she revealed that 208 films will be available for viewing this year, encompassing feature, mid-length, and short formats.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Jerome Paillard, Advisor Film Bazaar, and Nicholas McCaffrey, Deputy High Commissioner of Australia to India.

Panjim’s Mangrove Board Walk

Allys!! Good Morning my lovelies! It’s Friday – the best-est time of the week as I get to feature a place of my choice on my blog. Yes it is the best-est feeling to explore new places and then feature the same on the blog…! and You know what makes it special, your mails, your replies about how much you’ll love my work.

In this edition, I recently visited a place accidentally, it wasn’t a part of a plan as such but yes! I visited this place and I must say it is a really beautiful location. Upon interacting to the people and the guards, I got to learn that this place is open for the general public and it is recently inaugurated. However, not many people are aware about this place. This place is called the #MangroveBoardWalk

You know what fascinated me the most about this place was, the entire footbridge is built without cutting the natural mangroves, which makes it so rich and gives you a feeling of one with the nature. If one takes a closer look at the history, well the relationship that the Mangroves and Goa share is special. Well, now you will have a question why exactly they both share a special relationship. The answer is very simple. Goa is a house to about 16 different kind of mangroves and in our country, Goa is the state that has the best mangroves in the whole of India. So You will now agree about this special relationship.  The very concept of having a Board Walk in this place, not only serves as a tourist spot but also it is the very idea  that needs to be appreciated that this Board Walk was built without cutting down mangroves- In true sense – a step to preserve the identity of mangroves and appreciate the beauty that it brings to the state of Goa. Thus, this initiative makes this even special.

The place recently inaugurated is not known to many people. But hey! let’s not forget the publicity that no other medium can do, can be heavily done by social media. And when I visit a place, I at least make it a point to tell my one friend about it and ask my that friend to share the news about the same to another and the chain continues. Well, another plus point that I have is this blog – Which instantly connects to so many of you all.

Exploring this place happened all of a sudden as I told you! The story goes like this – we were hunting for a location to shoot a sequence for a feature programme and well, there you go! Here’s the link – PARSEKAR … ONE MAN – MANY DREAMS where I shot my bit for this video.

Just take the road heading towards Central Library, Panjim and Enter the parking side and keep walking till you see towards your left hand side the entrance of this beautiful Mangroves Footbridge.

TIPS OF THE DAY

  • If you are visiting this place, use a mosquito repellent cream to avoid mosquito bites.
  • While you click pictures be careful – try to avoid clicking pictures leaning on the bridge handrail.

As a teenager is it mandatory to follow the next few tip to ensure the right skin treatment for your skin.

  1. Daily Routine Should include – Washing Your Face Twice a Day with a Good Facial Cleanser. You get good products from Maybelline, Lakme, Neutrogena. Check what suits your skin type and purchase one for yourself.
  2. Avoid Your Favourite Junk Food – This is the time when you like going out eating oily food, fast food but avoiding the same will work wonders for your skin. As the same is irressitable, ( I understand, as I love them too) You can do one thing, in 15 days you can have cheat meal – could be your favourite burger or your favourite pizza.
  3. Drink a Lot of Water, it is Water alone that can hydrate your skin and control acne and pimple which is very common in this phrase.
  4. Sleep and Exercise – Have your 8 hours sleep and in this busy life when you are stressed or whether you aren’t you need to work out. Maybe physically going to the gym may not be possible, so why worry download an app from your playstore and get started with your exercise outfit on.
  5. Be Happy – This is the best way to naturally take care of your skin, Be Happy and Smile. It is what you reciprocate, you get back.
