Yash Raj Films has opened the doors to its Script Cell, calling on aspiring writers with original, powerful stories to submit their registered synopses. The initiative aims to discover and nurture fresh voices who may not have direct access to filmmakers but have the potential to define the future of Hindi cinema.
The much-awaited Hindi film Saiyaara will premiere on Netflix India on September 12, bringing a fresh cinematic story directly to audiences’ screens.

Veteran actor Achyut Potdar, known for his memorable roles in 3 Idiots, Ardh Satya, Yeh Dillagi and numerous television shows, passed away at the age of 91 in Thane. A professor, army captain, and Indian Oil executive before embracing acting, Potdar’s journey reflects passion and perseverance.
The 10th, 11th, and 12th editions of the Goa State Film Festival will be inaugurated on August 14, 2025, by CM Dr. Pramod Sawant and ESG Vice Chairman Smt. Delilah M Lobo, featuring film screenings, workshops, awards, and a lifetime achievement honor for Varsha Usgaonkar.
