St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa successfully conducted a six-day Faculty Development Programme on “Open Educational Resources and Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Research” from October 18–24, 2025, equipping educators with modern tools to enhance teaching, research, and student engagement.
The Department of Chemistry at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, organized an educational visit to the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR), Vasco-da-Gama, Goa, giving TYBSc students hands-on exposure to India’s leading polar and ocean research facilities and direct interaction with scientists.

Prof. (Dr.) Karuna Gokarn, senior faculty of the Department of Microbiology, has been appointed as the Principal of St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai (subject to University and Government approval). She makes history as the first woman to lead the college since its establishment in 1869.
