Panjim’s Mangrove Board Walk

Allys!! Good Morning my lovelies! It’s Friday – the best-est time of the week as I get to feature a place of my choice on my blog. Yes it is the best-est feeling to explore new places and then feature the same on the blog…! and You know what makes it special, your mails, your replies about how much you’ll love my work.

In this edition, I recently visited a place accidentally, it wasn’t a part of a plan as such but yes! I visited this place and I must say it is a really beautiful location. Upon interacting to the people and the guards, I got to learn that this place is open for the general public and it is recently inaugurated. However, not many people are aware about this place. This place is called the #MangroveBoardWalk

Picture clicked by a friend and Edited by be!

You know what fascinated me the most about this place was, the entire footbridge is built without cutting the natural mangroves, which makes it so rich and gives you a feeling of one with the nature. If one takes a closer look at the history, well the relationship that the Mangroves and Goa share is special. Well, now you will have a question why exactly they both share a special relationship. The answer is very simple. Goa is a house to about 16 different kind of mangroves and in our country, Goa is the state that has the best mangroves in the whole of India. So You will now agree about this special relationship.  The very concept of having a Board Walk in this place, not only serves as a tourist spot but also it is the very idea  that needs to be appreciated that this Board Walk was built without cutting down mangroves- In true sense – a step to preserve the identity of mangroves and appreciate the beauty that it brings to the state of Goa. Thus, this initiative makes this even special.

The place recently inaugurated is not known to many people. But hey! let’s not forget the publicity that no other medium can do, can be heavily done by social media. And when I visit a place, I at least make it a point to tell my one friend about it and ask my that friend to share the news about the same to another and the chain continues. Well, another plus point that I have is this blog – Which instantly connects to so many of you all.

Exploring this place happened all of a sudden as I told you! The story goes like this – we were hunting for a location to shoot a sequence for a feature programme and well, there you go! Here’s the link – PARSEKAR … ONE MAN – MANY DREAMS where I shot my bit for this video.

HOW TO GET HERE?

Just take the road heading towards Central Library, Panjim and Enter the parking side and keep walking till you see towards your left hand side the entrance of this beautiful Mangroves Footbridge.

Best Tips to Get You Motivated

Hello Allys,

Hope you are doing well this week! I had a wonderful last week – a lot hectic with work but the weekend done right with the San Joao Celebrations! And so I am back in action this week! Interacting with a couple of friends of mine, I got to learn several people including me, sometime or the other lose motivation in life – That driving force that keeps you going. In such circumstances, one needs to get some quick tips that will get you back in action motivated and going.

TIP  01 – GET GOOD REST

On days, when you realise it is not your day or things may not seem like going. Make Sure You get a Good Night Rest. This is one of the best ways to recover, heal and feel energised as this will provide you the right amount of time to get your body, soul and mind active and going.

TIP  02 – PLAN YOURSELF

One of the biggest reasons why we feel less productive or less motivated is the fact that we haven’t planned. So make sure you plan your day, write down a to – do list and make sure you get the same checked from that notepad of yours. This will keep you engage yourself to perform actions that will result into your end product which will motivate you to do better things.

TIP 03 – ORGANISE YOUR LIVING SPACES

This is one of the many things, everyone takes for granted. But if you ask me this is one of the most important thing that sets the mood for your work. Thus, organising things, clothes at home and papers, stationary at your workplace will injest in you a new energy and a fresh mindset which will encourge you to work even more.

TIP 04 – PRETEND THAT THIS IS YOUR GAME

Too often, when we feel less motivated and going we always take the back seat and hope that things may fall in their place gradually. But Instead of doing that, be the change, Dress Up and Show that you can be the boss and no matter what you can turn tides like nobody else can do. This cheat trick a lot of times worked for me, so well this is a tried and test tip. You too can try this one!

This is Your Moment, Pull Yourself Up and Rock it like a rockstar! Have the most productive weekend this week.

5 Ways to Expand Your Knowledge

Hello Allys,

Hope you are doing fine. It’s Tuesday and here I am again to give you some quick tips on how to expand your knowledge. First of all, in order to increase your knowledge about anything, one most important thing you need to have is Passion. Passion to know, to learn and explore the content what you wish to expand your knowledge in.

Here are some 5 Ways to Expand Your Knowledge:

  1. Try Something Different, Something New – The best way to expand knowledge is to try something new and something different. This is one of the best ways to learn something. When you are completely blank about a subject you wish to master, it is by just trying something new that you discover it and Trust me this is a lot fun. Exploring and understanding things on your own.
  2. Reading – One of the best ways to expand knowledge is reading about your subject at least roughly for 15 minutes a day. And this is considered to be the most cheapest way to expand your knowledge. Make them your best friends and trust me they will be loyal to you, for the whole of  your life time.
  3. Subscribe to Educational YouTube Channels – YouTube as it’s tagline says – Broadcast Yourself. This platform is widely used by several people to exhibit their talents, ideas. If you just YouTube the tutorials for cooking for example, you will get thousands of videos demonstrating the ways, techniques in which things work. Thus, Subscribing to your favourite interest area will indeed help you expand your knowledge through these means.
  4. Switching to Podcast – Switching to podcasts about educational, self-improvement can be a lot uplifting and at the same time can help in expanding one’s knowledge.
  5. Speak to an Influential Person in Your Life –  Speaking to a person who have knowledge in a subject you wish to expertise, and well definately it will work wonders for you. As that person will share his/her experiences which will help you to avoid mistakes and errors which that person came across. Thus, discussing with that person expands your knowledge as ifs and buts can be discussed leading to a fruitful discussion.

So this week, learn something different, something new and yes expand your knowledge. Have a fruitful week ahead.

The Lion Monument

Hello Allys,

Hope You all are doing fine this Friday. This week special feature is from the Snowland – Switzerland. Yes, Switzerland is one of my favourites for in Goa we don’t get snow! Like any person from Uttarakhand who visits Goa, goes gaga about the beach. I go gaga about the snow. However Today I am not discussing about the sno, but about a famous landmark – The Lion Monument. This monument is the pride of Lucern city. Widely also known as the The Lion of Lucern.

This Ancient Monument has a story to tell, just like how every monument has one. But the story of this one will definately touch your soul. This monument was built to salute the hardwork that the Swiss put during the French Revolution. This place has turned to be one of the most visited landmarks, turning out to be a major tourist destination in Switzerland’s Lucern city.

The idea of having this monument engraved on the cliff dates back during the early 18th Century. Where the Danish Sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen designed this monument along with Lukas Ahorn to carve the cliff into the design of the picture we see today. If one takes a closer look at the monument one can see some text written on the top of the cliff in latin which says Helvetiorum Fidei ac Virtuti which means To the Loyalty and Bravery of the Swiss.

This beautiful monument we see is of a Lion carved on the cliff depicting the plight of a dying Lion. The  dying state of the Lion with a shield near him and spear peaking from his body, while he is seen covering the fleur-d-lis which means stylized lily (Symbolizing the French Monarchy) This depicts how the Lion symbolizing the Swiss fought bravely till the end to safeguard the honor of the French, eventually loosing their lives.

HOW TO GET HERE?

Do Like, Comment and Share and incase you visit the places that I recommend then do share photos using the Hashtag #TravelwithAllycaral or #BeingAllycaral on any social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or BlogLovin. Have an amazing Weekend Cheers to good times!
