The Department of Telecommunication (DoT), Ministry of Communications, Government of India, organized the annual Zonal Security Conference for the West Zone at Cavelossim, South Goa on 3rd September 2025. Themed “Sashakt Sanchar, Abhinav Suraksha”, the event focused on strengthening telecom security and addressing emerging cyber threats. Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary (Telecom), emphasized citizen participation in telecom fraud prevention and highlighted the role of the Sanchar Saathi portal in empowering users. Over 100 representatives from central law enforcement agencies, LSAs, financial institutions, and telecom providers attended.
