Goans Should Expand Their Fish Palate Beyond the Snapper, Chonak, Kingfish, says Marine Conservationist Aaron Lobo


At a recent MOG Sundays talk titled โ€œItโ€™s Raining Fish โ€“ Hallelujah!โ€, marine conservationist Dr. Aaron Savio Lobo called on Goans to expand their fish palate beyond popular varieties like snapper, chonak, and kingfish. He questioned the freshness of seafood sold during Goaโ€™s monsoon fishing ban, highlighted the loss of dietary fish diversity, and warned against the ecological impact of overfishing and market homogenization.
