Goa University Signs Historic MoU with Chanakya Mandal Pariwar

This historic agreement marks the first collaboration of its kind in Goa, opening doors to specialized programs, workshops, and research opportunities for students and faculty. Through this partnership, Goa University aims to equip its students with skills that go beyond conventional academics โ€” nurturing leadership, analytical thinking, and a deeper understanding of governance and administration.

Chanakya Mandal Pariwar, with its decades of expertise, will bring valuable mentorship, training modules, and a wealth of knowledge to Goa Universityโ€™s ecosystem. This collaboration also reflects Goa Universityโ€™s commitment to building national and global competencies among its students.

Itโ€™s a moment of immense pride for Sacred Heart High School, Parra, as two of its talented students have emerged victorious at the Goa State Judo Championship, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Goa.

Narayan Chanappa Khandpanavar showcased outstanding skill and determination to secure 1st place in the U-17 Boysโ€™ category, while Sameeksha Santosh Nandahali delivered a stellar performance to win 1st place in the U-14 Girlsโ€™ category.

The championship brought together some of Goaโ€™s best young judo athletes, and both Narayan and Sameeksha stood out for their agility, discipline, and competitive spirit. Their victories are a testament to the hard work theyโ€™ve put in under the guidance of their coaches and the support from their school.

Panaji Declared Cleanest City in India (50kโ€“1L Category) at Swachh Survekshan 2024โ€“25


In a landmark moment for Goa, the city of Panaji has been honoured as the Cleanest City in India in the 50,000โ€“1,00,000 population category at the Swachh Survekshan Awards 2024โ€“25. The awards ceremony took place at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, and the title was conferred by the Honโ€™ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji.

This prestigious award underscores the outstanding work done under the Swachh Bharat Mission in Panaji, including consistent efforts in door-to-door waste collection, scientific waste treatment, and attaining Garbage-Free City certification.
